Chapter 17

1 year later
Olivia
It's been a year since we started dating. We had bought the apartment as we both liked it too much and our lease was already ending. We both visited our parents a few months back and it felt good. I met my father and he wanted me to head the company. Beth had completed her course and opened a restaurant near our house.
Today was a holiday for me but Beth had to check up on her restaurant. She was there so I decided to surprise her with a nice dinner and a comfortable night without any work. We both had been busy the past two weeks and didn't get time with each other. I made our all time favourite meal, cheese sandwiches with tomatoes and cucumbers. I picked 10 movies on Netflix so she could choose. I prepared some snacks and some blankets, made the bed and did the dishes. In the dishwasher, obviously. i hate doing the dishes. I noticed it was already 7pm and she should be heading home by now. I prepared her a bath so she could relax before i served her the food.
After 20 mins.
She came home and went to bath. I put the dinner on the table and poured us some of her favourite wine. It was a mild one, I didn't want to us to get drunk tonight. She came down and we ate our food while talking to each other. After i put the dishes away we went upstairs for our movie night. We cuddled into each other as she chose the movie and decided to watch The Intern first. While we were watching the movie I noticed that she was asleep. I smiled at the sight and turned down the volume and continued watching the movie after confirming that she was in a comfortable position on me. As the movie ended and the credits were rolling, she woke up.
"Sleep baby"
"I'm sorry i fell asleep"
"It's totally good. We've watched the movie like 30 times together. You don't have to apologise. Let's sleep" i looked down at her only to see that she is already asleep.
"So much for my nice and mature speech" I chuckled and fell asleep with her.
