I am in a dark forest with the moon through the trees. I am standing on all fours, covered in lush black fur, every sense ten times better then normal.
I begin to feel the dirt moving through my paws as I run, every tree a blur.
Joy engulfs me as I quickly gain speed, beating any land animal with ease. A few wolf packs join me,along with a few stray wolves in my run, enjoying it as much as I am,possibly even more.
We eventually come to a clearing where the wolf packs separate and go their own ways, some packs leaving with a few more members then before.
I stand up upon my hind legs, towering to a massive height, trying to get closer to the large moon, but not succeeding.
A figure with wings flys across the moon in the dark sky, landing next to me. The figure is a young female with blonde hair, blue eyes and is wearing white armour with large, feathered wings protruding from her back. She is smiling at me as she comes and hugs my waste,me being too tall for her to hug me properly.
I go back onto my all fours, where our eyes are almost level, mine a bit lower then hers now. She lets out a bit of a giggle.
"Sorry,you're just so BIG!"
I give her the best smile I can in my current form, which honestly must look rather hideous, but she understands and smiles in return.
We walk over to a small rocky patch, where we both sit down, her wings fade away and I return to my human form, that is covered in black armour.
We begin to talk about what we have done in our two years of separation to travel. She talks of the wonders of castles and large towns, and I talk of forests and mountains, and the beauty they hold. We talk for approximately an hour before a loud crack of a stick disturbs us. At this,we both quickly turn to find the tree line filled with heavily armoured humans, not one without a weapon. They stand there in silence, not a single movement is seen from any of them.
We look at each other, both our faces filled with confusion.
"Are we not at peace with the humans?" I whisper to her.
"We are. We have not even thought of war for centuries."
Our discussion is quickly interrupted by a loud voice.
"Are you two Immortals?"
"We are." We both reply.
No reply comes, except for the readying of their weapons. The ground shakes with their footsteps and the air is filled with the clinking of their armour.
" We are dearly sorry." We both mutter as we summon our swords, one black, one white.
We begin to battle with the human army, human blood splashing the once smooth, rocky ground. We begin to be overwhelmed by the humans' shear numbers.
"There are too many of them" I think to myself.
I engulf my hand in shadow and punch the ground, causing the once smooth surface to crumble and crack. Shadow Warriors begin to to climb from the fresh cracks in the ground, aiding us in the battle. They are weak, but will help.
I look around to see that she has taken flight, her wings broad and arrows flying from her bow, always hitting their mark. Then the bow vanishes and her right hand begins to glow with a bright blue light. She begins to descend, like a hawk hunting prey.
As she hits the ground, her glowing hand makes impact with the earth, make a shockwave of blue light spread along the ground. This causes many of the soldiers to collapse to the ground. I notice then,a bit of a glint coming from their swords. It's a mixture of steel, silver and gold.
"Don't let their swords touch you!" I shout to her.
She gives me a quick nod,we then begin to take the enemy out while they are down.
The ground begins to become littered with dead human soldiers, but more are always coming. There just seems to be no end to their numbers. We have been fighting for hours,it is even light now.
We both begin to tired beyond anything we had ever imagined, most of our energy now drained. Our movements becoming sluggish and slow. We must have killed hundreds, possibly even thousands. Too many to count.
I feel a sharp pain in my back while I'm distracted. I look down to see a sword protruding out of my stomach, blood oozing from the wound and the silver beginning to burn. I drop to my knees, feeling the cold draw in as I do so. I turn to her, wanting to see if she is alright. She is screaming, her eyes beginning to turn a bright white. She barges through the enemy, and just before she reaches me,the world turns black.
