12 Eternal Combat

The men begin to grow taller,black hair forming all over their bodies,snouts forming from all their faces. Within seconds five huge black Veil stand before us.
"Reath,hack the last computer! We can hold them off for now!" Victor barks,pointing at the final computer.
I run to the computer,but my armour cannot hack it.
"I cannot hack the files! It's too heavily encrypted!" I call the the others,hoping they have a solution.
"Save the file,I can decrypt it with the equipment at home!" Victor shouts just before he is thrown through two of the glass sectors,glass flying everywhere. Victor hits the wall,no longer moving.
I turn back to the computer and quickly save the file to my armour.
I join in the battle with a katana formed in my hand. Grace jumps into the air kicking one of the Veils hard enough in the face to send its head into the wall,the she begins to fight the others
I see one of the Veils behind Grace,about to swipe at her head.
"Duck!" I shout as I run at the large beast.
Grace ducks down and the Veil misses his attack. I tackle the large beast,taking him to the ground.
"Reath,hold them off. We are not strong enough to destroy these beasts,we need to leave.
I nod and then turn to the beasts,all five of them standing before me. I see Grace run to Victor,the symbol beginning to form beneath her feet.
I run up to the first Veil,I jump over it,slicing it along it's chest as I do. I punch the next one in the stomach,causing it the lean over and I stab him in the back,pushing until it falls and my katana goes into the ground,holding the creature down.
The next Veil is bigger then the other two and as I jump to hit it in the face,it grabs me by the throat and pushes me to the ground,the force hard enough to crack and indent the solid floor.
The Veil attempts to bite my face but I push it's snout to the side so that it hits the floor beside my head. The now irritated Veil lifts me by my head,holding the front of my helmet and then begins to continuously bash me against the hallway wall,my helmet beginning to crack.
The two remaining Veil begin to advance on Grace and Victor,their intent to kill. I look over to Grace but she does not notice the incoming foe because she has her eyes closed so she can focus on getting us out.
I quickly draw my pistol and put several rounds into the Veil's chest,causing him to drop me. I quickly shoot the beast in the head which makes it collapse,hopefully dead. I quickly retrieve my katana from the Veil's body and turn it into two throwing knives,which I throw at the two Veils that are approaching Grace and Victor,hitting them both in the back of their legs causing the beasts to collapse.
I sprint to Grace and Victor,hitting both the creatures over head to knock them out as I do.
"Ready!" Grace says as she opens her eyes and as I reach her and Victor.
"Go!" I shout.
I grab Victor as he becomes concious,putting his large arm over my shoulder to keep him steady.
The world becomes a bright white. We appear in the tree line behind Harmony and her team and what I see is not good. All the soldiers have turned into beasts of enormous size,making it hard for Harmony's team to fight them. There must have been at least thirty or forty of the Veils,all of them huge.
"Victor,are you good to fight?" I ask him as he leans on me.
"I can fight." Victor says with a lust for revenge in his tone as he begins to support his own weight and lifts his arm off me.
"We will help Harmony's team to fight the Veils." Grace says,pointing at the battle that is commencing between Immortal and Veil.
Victor and I both nod,agreeing with Grace's orders. I refill my pistol with a fresh magazine and then check that my rifle is properly loaded. Grace also reloads her pistol,putting it back on her belt and drawing her katana.
"Attack!" Grace shouts,running with her katana into combat.
Victor and I join her. Victor tackling,Grace slicing and stabbing,and me using my rifle to fill the abominations with holes.
The rifle clicks,obviously out of ammo. I go to reload but no magazines remain. I summon a battle axe with a doubled side axe head,big and sharp.
I quickly see Morgan kick a Veil in the shin to stun it and then she smashes it over the head with her mace. I cringe. I run up to a stray Veil and swing the axe,lodging it into its stomach. I leave my axe there while I move into battle.
I now summon a broadsword from my shadows,the weapon black and deadly.
I look around within the battle,trying to find Harmony but she is no where to be seen. I see a bright blue light come from the sky and pierce a Veil in the chest causing it to collapse to the ground. I look to the direction that the arrow came from to see Harmony with a bow made of bright blue light in her hands. I look down to being immediately been tackled to the ground my a Veil,the beast very strong.
"If I can hold a tree,I can move a large beast off me." I think as I throw it off me,it landing on its back on the bare ground. I quickly get up and go over to the still stunned Veil. I quickly drive my sword into its throat,making it choke on its own blood. I run into the main battle,seeing Grace slicing and jumping around,Morgan just mutilating the poor things and Victor simply tearing them apart. I see one that appears to be distracted looking in the opposite direction from me,at Victor infact. I run up to it and stab it in the back,cutting its spinal cord in two which at the least immobilises it. Suddenly a Veil begins to go berserk,whacking John and making him go flying. The beast begins to run at be with complete rage in its eyes,but before it can get to me a flaming bullet goes through its head,instantly killing it.
I look around to see that only about four Veil remain,but their life is short lived thanks to Jaidyn,Harmony and my sword.
Harmony walks up to me,her armour having sustained a few dents and scratches.
"Did you get all the files?"
"Only two files were worth while. One is too heavily encrypted for my armour and the other is based on constructing some sort of teleportation device." I reply.
"Well done. I will get Victor to analyse them upon our return. Everyone,time to leave. We are going home!" Harmony says with a smile on her face.
"What about the facility,should we destroy it?" I ask.
"I want your team to go in with Jaidyn and see if you can find anything else in there. Just a quick sweep of the building,that is all. Then you guys can decide whether to destroy it or not. The craft that you guys arrived in will remain here until you are finished. I will inform Jaidyn,you go tell your team. Meet Jaidyn by the hole that you used to enter." Harmony commands.
"Will do."
I walk up to Grace and Victor who are making quick repairs on their armour.
"Harmony told me we have one last thing to do before we leave. We need to quickly do a sweep of the entire facility and decide whether to destroy it or not. Jaidyn will be joining us. We need the meet him at the hole." I inform them.
"Okay. Wait,what happened to your helmet? It is all cracked." Grace asks with concern.
"One of the Veils inside bashed my head against the wall a few times. I'm fine but I should probably get this repaired when we get back." I answer.
"Well,we should probably go meet Jaidyn by the hole in the building now. That boy doesn't like to wait." Victor states as he begins to leave.
We walk to the hole to find that Jaidyn has already gone inside and is looking around in the little concrete cell.
We begin to search the building,searching only the major labs and some larger containment cells. We eventually come to a large lab to the far north of the building where we find three large doors upon the far wall and three main surgical benches in a line along this large room.
"Grace,you take the far right door,Reath take middle. I will take the left. Victor,I want you checking the tables for any signs of recent use." Jaidyn commands,walking to the left.
I go into the the room where the door leads. It is has a computer on a desk to the right and a large capsule looking device that a Veil could have been grown in. I check the computer to only find one file-Project Victor.
