Hyewon x Male reader- You and I

"How can I even think of liking her when's she's there and I'm here...."
Your thoughts were interrupted when u felt a pat on your shoulder.
"Y/N? U alright?" Hyewon asked as u stared at her eyes.
Hyewon was embarrassed by this as she asked u once more "Yah Y/N are u alright?"
U noticed what u were doing as u blushed and nodded.
"Yup, I definitely can't confess to her. I'm already so awkward around her."
U wanted to be the type of student who was popular in his school where he's loved by everyone and respected but too bad for u this wasn't the case.
U were that one student who had no friends at all in the school and just kept to yourself while your crush and her group of friends were Super popular in the school.
But they still treated u nicely since u weren't part of the desperate boys who wanted to date them.
Well, at least they thought u weren't.
U fell in love with Hyewon the moment u laid eyes on her but u couldn't even look at her in the eye again.
Well, u thought that there was no way she could be interested in u since she was Super popular while u were just a loser with no friends.
"Ok? So do u want to hangout with me and my friends after school?" Hyewon asked u as u started hearing muttering from your classmates.
"What does she see in that loser?"
"We're way better than Y/N yet she prefers him over us."
Those muttering made u lose your confidence as u shaked your head.
"I.. I'm busy after school." U said softly but Hyewon heard u.
"Hey, don't care about what the others think. They might not think u're good enough to hang out with us but i think u are. The girls are cool with u too." Hyewon said with a smile.
"U girls might think I'm good enough but I'm definitely not good enough to be hanging out with u." U thought.
"It's alright. I'm really busy after school." U said as Hyewon sighed and nodded.
"Alright then, maybe next time." She said as u cursed yourself mentally for being such a wimp.

"He's making excuses again?"Yena asked as Hyewon nodded.
"I don't get it. He doesn't have to be afraid of hanging out with us just because the others are jealous of him being able to hang with us.." Wonyoung said.
"When will u actually not care about what others think about u Y/N?" Hyewon thought.
The girls saw the look on Hyewon's face as they nudged her shoulder.
"No need to be so sad Hyewon. I'm sure he will hang with us in the future." Sakura said
"Unnie's right. He just needs to stop caring about what others think of him that's all. Plus we know why u care so much about him too~" Yuri teased as Hyewon blushed.
"Yah, stop it. U girls are lucky that he's not right here." Hyewon said as the girls laughed.
"I can't imagine what his reaction would be like if he knew u like him Unnie. HAHA" Yujin laughed as the girls giggled at the thought of your reaction as Hyewon blushed even red.
Yup there was a reason that Hyewon would keep asking u to hang with them.
She liked u and had always wanted u to know that.
She didn't know why too but u always seemed innocent and kind to her.
A simple yet mysterious boy at the same time.
U caught her attention when u first came into the school.
While all the boys were desperate for their attention, all the while u were just in your own world without even trying to make friends with them.
Only Hyewon found to u to be a special guy but after telling the girls about u they also started to pay attention to u too.
So they only started asking u to hang with them because they felt that u weren't trying to go after them.
But it seemed that your inferiority complex wasn't helping both u and her that much since u would always come up with excuses to reject her offer.
"Alright enough teasing shall we go now?" Eunbi asked as the girls nodded and went to have fun.
Timeskip
"I'm home Mum Dad." U said.
"Welcome home son, how was your day?" Your parents asked while u shrugged your shoulders.
"Still the same I guess. Just being alone all day long." Your parents shaked their head after hearing your answer.
"Did u reject Hyewon's invitation again?" Your mum asked u as u nodded.
"Again? Sweetie she's the first girl that u finally like and u keep rejecting her offer for u to hang with her?" Your mum scolded u as u sighed.
"Your mum's right Y/N. She's inviting u all the time yet u reject her. We can tell that she feels the same way as u feel towards her." Your dad said.
"I.. I'm not good enough for her. She's someone and I'm no one." U said as your mum gasped in shock.
"Never call yourself no one Y/N. You're our son and that makes u someone. Besides, what makes u think that Hyewon won't be mad at u if u think of yourself like that?"
"Alright enough of that mum, I'm tired I'm going to rest now." U said as u went up to your room.
Your mum sighed as your dad patted her shoulders to calm her down.
"Alright dear, let's just let Y/N settle his own problems."
"How is he suppose to solve this on his own? He might not even have anyone to count on in the future."
"We'll just have to trust him."
Meanwhile
"Are we going anywhere tomorrow girls?" Sakura asked.
"I'm fine with anywhere. What about u girls?" Hitomi asked.
The girls shrugged their shoulders as Hyewon wasn't listening.
"Yah Kang Hyewon, are u even listening to us at all?" Eunbi asked.
Hyewon's thoughts were interrupted as she sighed.
"Mianhae, I was thinking about something."
"Are u still thinking about asking Y/N to hang out with us?" Yuri asked.
"Why are u still so adamant about doing this Hyewon Unnie? He's been rejecting your offer every time." Chaewon asked.
"Maybe he's not really interested in u Hyewon." Eunbi said as Hyewon shaked her head.
"I can tell that he feels the same way towards me too. It's just that people's opinion of him affects him badly. Hyewon said.
"So what are u gonna do about it Unnie?" Wonyoung asked.
Hyewon thought about it as there was silence waiting for her answer.
"I'm going to tell him about how I feel towards him in front of everyone." She said as the girls widened their eyes.
"U-Unnie, u can't do that. Think about it, if u really do it Y/N's gonna be the target of everyone's criticism." Yuri said as the girls nodded in agreement.
"If that happens, I will defend him. Even if they criticise me, so be it. I like Y/N for him being him. U girls support my decision right?" Hyewon asked as the girls hesitated for a moment.
"U girls aren't supporting me? I thought we were friends.." Hyewon said sadly as the girls immediately nodded their heads.
"Of course we have your backs Unnie. But are u sure u wanna do this?" Chaewon asked.
"I'm very sure of this. He needs to not care about what others say anymore."
The next day
U made the decision to never talk to Hyewon or the other girls anymore to avoid criticisms from anyone.
Hyewon obviously noticed this as she kept looking at u the entire time which u noticed and tried not to react to it.
However....
"Hey Hyewon, are u free after school today? Wanna go out?" A male student asked Hyewon as she looked at him.
U noticed this as u tried not to be bothered by it while u sighed softly.
"She's gonna accept his offer. He's someone and I'm nothing.." u thought.
But Hyewon knew what u were thinking as she shaked her head.
"I'm sorry, but if u are trying to court me I suggest u give up." Hyewon said bluntly as the boy was shocked.
U were shocked too but u kept your cool.
Hyewon expected the boy to just walk away but instead he did the opposite.
A sudden bang on the table caused Hyewon to jump in shock as u and the entire class looked at him.
"It's Y/N isn't it?! U rejected me because of that loser didn't u!" The boy shouted at Hyewon as the class gasped.
This angered Hyewon after hearing the insult on u as she stood up and glared at the boy.
"So what if it's about him? He's still a thousand times better than u. His attitude is way better than yours. Sure he easily gets affected by what people says about him but at least he's not rude to people. If there's one thing I'm proud of, it's liking him." Hyewon said as the class widened their eyes in shock.
U took in everything Hyewon said as u looked at her.
The boy huffed in anger as he left the classroom leaving everyone to look at both u and Hyewon.
"Damn it, I wasn't suppose to confess like this..." Hyewon thought.
The girls were outside the class as they heard the earlier commotion.
"Are they gonna be ok?" Minju asked.
"She's gonna have to deal with this." Yena said as they looked at both of u.
Hyewon walked towards u as u suddenly stood up and took a step back.
She was slightly hurt by your action but tried to keep her cool.
"Y/N. What I said earlier... about me liking u. That was all true."
"Don't. Don't like me Hyewon." U said as Hyewon was confused.
"Why? I like u for who u are Y/N and I know u feel the same way."
U shaked your head slightly "It's not about that, I don't deserve u at all."
U then left the classroom with Hyewon in shock by what u said.
Timeskip
Ever since that day, u haven't been going to school to avoid Hyewon or the girls since u figured out that the entire school knew about u and her.
Your parents were notified about this but decided not to do anything about it since they thought it was better u settled this yourself.
As for Hyewon, she didn't give up on u as she sends u messages every day.
"U can feel inferior about yourself but what makes u think that my love for u will never overcome that." Was what she send to u before u finally blocked her on all social media.
"I'm never going to see her again. I did make the right choice though." U thought until one day...
Knock knock
" What is it?" U asked with a frustrated tone since u thought your parents were going to bother u about Hyewon.
Your mum opened the door as u saw her walking towards u.
"U have a guest today Y/N. And I expect u to treat her well." She said as u looked at her in confusion.
U looked behind her only to be in shock as u saw Hyewon standing at your door smiling at u.
"H-Hyewon? What is she doing here mum?" U asked your mum.
"Have a nice chat, and I expect her to come out with a smile and not with tears or I will kick u out Y/N." Your mum said as she closed the door.
Hyewon was still staring at u as u sighed.
"I-if u're here to talk about what happened that day. Forget it, I already said what I wanted to say." U said as u felt Hyewon sitting on your bed.
"Y/N. U feel the same way towards me right? So why even let the opinion of others bother u? If we love each other, let's just be together." She said as u shaked your head.
"I already said I don't deserve.."
"Don't say that again. No one decides if u deserve me or not other than me. And I dare say that u deserve me Y/N. U've always deserved me." Hyewon said as u looked down.
"U don't understand Hyewon, I- I really can't like u. B-because u are someone and I'm nothing..." At this point your tears fell as Hyewon looked at u sadly.
"Did he really think of himself like that? Pabo."
U felt your chin being raised up as Hyewon secured her lips onto yours.
U tried to push her away but she held onto your shoulder to prevent u from doing so.
In the end, u gave up and kissed back as your tears continued flowing.
Hyewon separated from the kiss as she looked at u affectionately.
"Pabo, what's that about me being someone and u being nothing. In the end, we're all humans aren't we? Others can judge us how they want but please don't push me away...."
Tears also started falling dow her face as u both looked at each other.
"U-u really don't mind dating me?" U asked as she nodded.
"I really like u Y/N. Will u give us a chance to change others opinion of u?" Hyewon asked.
U then wiped away her tears as u smiled and nodded.
U saw a smile on her face as she hugged u tightly with u doing the same.
"Thank u Y/N! U won't regret giving me a chance." Hyewon said as u smiled.
The both of u then locked eyes with each other as u said "No Hyewon, thank u for not looking down on me and even loving me."
Hyewon smiled at your words as she leaned forward and kissed u once more as u smiled and kissed back.
For u, it looked like your relationship with Hyewon was going to be a rocky one.
But for Hyewon, she didn't mind all the obstacles because u and only u mattered to her.
