"Hey Y/N? Wake up Y/N! Class is over!"
U immediately woke up while turning to see your childhood friend Choi Yena smiling at u.
"Hmm what time is it?"
"Its already time to go home Pabo, u slept through the entire lesson. It's a miracle the teacher didn't catch u."
U laughed awkwardly out of embarrassment while Yena shaked her head.
"Let's go already, I'm hungry."
"Alright alright, give me a sec."

"Two tteokbokki please."
"Alright coming up."
U and Yena were now at your favourite food place since it was the place u guys would always go to since young.
The both of u had many pleasant memories together.
Going to the arcade together.
Going to the movies.
Even doing simple things like talking to each other made u guys happy.
But for u that friendship somehow grew into something more.
Yena was always cheerful and optimistic since she always had a smile on her face which made it easy to make friends with her.
While she was sociable, you on the other hand were introverted.
Since young, u weren't willing to talk to anyone unless they started talking to u.
That was until Yena found u alone one day and started conversing with u.
Slowly as days passed, u got out of your comfort zone and stated being friends with Yena.
However, recently u started to feel something towards her.
U weren't sure what it was but every time u were with Yena, there were some things u wanted to do for her like holding her hands and giving her a sudden back hug.
But u thought it was a bad idea for u to do that since u guys were only good friends not a couple and doing those things all of a sudden would definitely scare her.
"Y/N? Y/N!"
Your thoughts were interrupted while u got back your senses.
"W-what is it?"
"The food is here already dummy dig in."
U nodded as u started eating the food.
"Yah what were u thinking about? U looked deep in thoughts."
U didn't want to answer Yena truthfully for fear of drifting away from her.
"Oh it was nothing just something personal."
Yena immediately put her attention on u while looking at curiously.
"What is it? Care to share? Come on we've talked about everything since we were young."
"Exactly, that's the reason I can't talk about this right now."
"Sorry ducky, but it's really confidential this time." U said while Yena pouted.
"Aww come on please~ tell me about it."
Yena begged u about it but u couldn't talk about it in front of her.
"Sorry but I really can't tell."
Yena then looked away from u while acting like a kid.
"Hmm! Fine then, keep it to yourself then."
"Hais why do u have to act like this?"
"Hey I promise u I'll tell u about it once I'm comfortable talking about it alright?"
Her face immediately brightened up as she smiled at u.
"Really, u can't break your promise."
U nodded while she smiled and started digging in again.
"And when will that time come when I can tell u about how I feel?"

You and Yena were just outside her house since u decided to send her home.
"Alright we're here, u should go back home too Y/N."
"I-it's alright, I'll wait till u go in."
Yena thought u were acting weird while walking towards u which made u walk back.
"W-what are u doing?"
Yena smirked while walking towards u with u not looking at her.
"You're acting weird today. Normally u wouldn't even send me home but u keep doing it these days. Don't tell me..."
"T-tell u what?" U asked nervously.
"U're interested in me?"
Your face suddenly turned red while Yena laughed at your reaction.
"Haha u should have seen your face, it's so red." Yena said while laughing.
"Yes I'm interested in u. But what can I even do about it."
"Y-yah don't joke about it. Just go in now." U said while Yena moved away from u.
"Alright alright thanks anyways, I'll see u tomorrow."
U raised your eyebrows in confusion.
"Tomorrow? It's Saturday ducky have u forgotten?"
Yena seemed shocked when she heard what u said.
"Yah have u forgotten what day it is tomorrow?"
U then thought about it.
"Tomorrow? What... oh right."
U smacked your head while laughing awkwardly.
"Sorry, I forgot it's your birthday tomorrow."
"Yah u actually forgot my birthday? Call yourself my best friend."
"I'm sorry I'll make it up to u tomorrow. I promise u." U said which Yena's face lightened up afterwards.
"U said it Y/N. Don't break your promise!"
U chuckled while nodding your head as Yena turned and headed into her house.
Your face suddenly turned gloomy as u sighed.
"I wonder how u'll react to my feelings Yena."
"Hey Mum I'm back!"
"Hey sweetie."
"So any plans for tomorrow?"
Yena nodded while her mum smiled at her.
"I'm hanging out with Y/N tomorrow. It's a shame I can't spend my birthday this year with u and dad."
Her mum suddenly smiled slyly at her.
"Y/N huh~"
"Mum, what are u trying to say?" Yena asked her mum.
"How long have u been friends with Y/N?"
She thought about it properly.
"It's been 10 years. Why do u ask?"
Yena suddenly felt herself facing her mum while her mum looked at her seriously.
"Do.you.have.any.feelings.for.Y/N?"
A blush suddenly formed on Yena's face while her mum squealed.
"Omg! My sweetie's in love~" Her mum celebrated like a little kid.
"Yah mum, it's not that. It's just that question was so sudden."
Her mum suddenly stopped while looking at her daughter.
"U mean u haven't thought about it before?" Yena shaked her head.
"Well then, what do u think about him? I'm sure where there were times u were attracted to him without u knowing about it."
Memories started coming back to Yena's mind as she thought about it.
"I-I didn't really thought about going further than just being friends with Y/N..."
"But.... do I like him? H-he's sometimes manly and I feel safe around him. He also helps me without hesitation. But I... Gosh I don't know myself right now."
"Alright sweetie, if thinking about it is so hard why don't u just ask Y/N about how he feels towards u tomorrow?"
Yena seemingly choked on nothing while her mum patted her back.
"M-mum! I can't do that, a girl isn't supposed to be doing that."A blush formed on her face again.
Her mum burst into laughter as she looked at her mum in confusion.
"Y-yah, even your mum isn't so old fashioned yet u are. Come on what year is it already there are plenty of girls that confesses these days. Besides u aren't even confessing, U're just asking about his feelings."
Yena thought about it for a while and thought her mum was right.
"Alright fine, I'll do it."
"That's my girl. Now go rest well and prepare for tomorrow~" Her mum teased her as she whined.
"Mum~"

"No not good enough."
Multiple letters were all over the floor as u were trying to convey your feelings.
Yes it was a cliche move but u didn't know how else to do it besides a letter.
However things were not going your way since u always felt that each attempt of writing was getting worse.
Eventually u gave up and decided to not even say anything to Yena at all.
"Maybe this is for the best..." U said to yourself
The next day
"Yah Y/N where're you? I'm already here."
U patted Yena's shoulders as she turned around and saw u.
"Happy birthday Ducky!" U said with a smile while she smiled back at u.
