Yena X Male Reader Part 1- All my love

"What the heck am I supposed to do right now...."
The feeling u were experiencing right now was the worst ever.
Seeing your childhood friend turned crush acting lovey dovey with her current boyfriend hurt u every single minute u were with them.
U didn't want to be there but had no choice when they practically went to your house and dragged u out.
Was she doing it on purpose? U thought, having to see things that u didn't want to.
"Y/N? U alright? You looked dazed for a second there."
"Yeah.... I'm fine Yena. I was just thinking about something."
Your childhood friend, Choi Yena was the one u love deeply.
The both of u had experienced everything together since young.
From growing up in the same neighbourhood to studying in the same elementary school to the same middle school and now the same high school.
However in that process, you wanted to stay by Yena's side every single second just to see her.
Her goofy attitude and cheerful nature had naturally allowed her to be outspoken compared to your somewhat aloof nature.
But that was what u love about her.
However, that desire of yours was soon pushed out of your thoughts the second u found out that she was in love in someone from another class.
Boo Seungkwan, he wasn't that good looking to you however he had a funny personality and a eloquent voice to his advantage which was what had attracted Yena to him.
When they first got together u had expected them to break off soon.

And now it was their 1 year anniversary as regrets soon came to your mind thinking why u hadn't confessed earlier.

The school bell soon rang as u got up and walked away from the couple without realising u had done so.
"Hey Y/N wait up!"
U snapped out of your thoughts as u turned back to see Yena after you.
"Huh? What did u say?"
"Are u really alright? U just walked away like that."
"Sorry, I'm just occupied with somethings. But it's nothing major." U lied which Yena fell for.
"If u say so... But hey remember the little sleepover we used to do in the past? I've been thinking about doing that again. What do u say Y/N?"
The moment u heard that, a smile immediately broke on your face.
Sleepovers was one of the things u had looked forward to every time when u guys were kids.
U both would just chat through the night or just play some games to pass the time but those simple things would make u happy.
And u felt lucky that Yena would still hangout with u occasionally even after dating Seungkwan.
"Yeah sure thing." U replied making her smile in response.
"Alright I'll see u tonight then. At my house but right now let's get to class." Yena said before walking away happily as u stared at her.
"Things would have been way different between us if I had just taken the first step earlier..."

Two days later
"Is she not feeling well? No she would have replied if that was the case."
It's been 2 days since the sleepover with Yena and as always u both had lots of fun.
However since then, she hasn't been coming to school as u wondered what happened to her.
Feeling worried about her, u went ahead to her house to check up on her.
Knock knock
The door then opened, revealing her mum as she smiled at you.
"Hello Y/N, looking for Yena?"
"Yeah, she hasn't been to school the past 2 days. Is she alright Ms Choi?"
Her mum then shaked her head sadly.
"No she isn't. She won't tell me nor her father anything. It's good that you're here maybe u can get her to spill it out."
"May I go see her?"
"Of course, please." She said before making way for you.

Knock knock
"Mum, I said I'm fine."
The tone on Yena's voice wasn't the usual energetic one she had usually which signalled something did happen to her.
"Yena, it's me."

"Y/N?"
"Yeah."
There was no reply from her which u thought it was a signal for u to go in.
U then opened the door to see Yena sitting on her bed sadly as u frowned slightly.
"Hey what's wrong?"
She then got up on her bed and walked towards you and u opened your arms as the girl just embraced u in sadness.
"Thank you for coming Y/N. It means a lot to me..." Yena said as u played with her hair.
"Anything for you. Now what happened?"
U asked before looking at her in the eye.
There wasn't any reply from her but a tear threatened to fall from her eyes as u figured out almost immediately who had done this to her.
"Was it Seungkwan?" U asked with anger as Yena looked at u in surprise.
"I-I didn't say it was-"
"U didn't have to. Only he could do this to you. What exactly did he do to you." U asked once more only this time with more ferocity.
This was the reason why Yena didn't want to tell u anything.
U were too protective of her since childhood.
That side of yours came out when Yena was bullied by a boy as u immediately hit him and forced him to apologise even after she had told u to calm down.
But right now, u couldn't be stopped after finding out the person she loved had hurt her this badly.
"H-he broke up with me.... Y/N."
And there it happened, your anger immediately subsided only to look at her in surprise.
"W-what? But why?!"
"We fought after our sleepover. Halfway through our date, he started to talk about u all of a sudden."
"M-me?"
Yena nodded.
"H-he was jealous that we were spending more time with each other than him and how he wanted us to stop seeing each other immediately."
"But we're just best friends! What kind of unreasonable request is that?!"
"I know but he didn't give me a chance to explain to him and before I knew it...... he just ended things."
Anger started to fill your mind without u realising.
"How dare he do this to you! I'll deal with him tomorrow!"
"No please don't Y/N." Yena said.
"But he hurt you! He-"
"Please! I need u.... now."
You almost gasped after hearing what she had said.
It broke your heart to see Yena who was always energetic and lovely now so sad and broken because of someone she didn't deserve.
"Please Y/N. If something happens to my best friend too, I don't know what I'll do."
Best friend.... that's all I'll ever be to you....
"Sigh, alright then. Your best friend will be with you."
As much as u didn't want to admit it, saying that u were her best friend hurt u even more.
However what u said had caused a small smile to appear on Yena's face once more as she went into your arms.
"Thanks Y/N, I really appreciate it."

Right now u were just staring at Yena as she was just using her phone while laying on her bed.
But many thoughts were filling your mind.
They had finally broken up.
Call yourself evil but u had wished for this to happen multiple times.
But now that it had happened, you couldn't be happy since Yena was sad about it and u couldn't bear to see that.
"Hey Y/N?"
"Yeah?"
"Do u wanna, u know hang out together like how we did in the past?"
A huge smile immediately broke out on your face as u chuckled.
"R-really? Just like old times?"
A small giggle then came out of Yena as she nodded.
"It can also help me to get over well.... that incident. And it can also help to catch up with old times. We can do whatever u want as long as it helps to distract my mind.So what do u say Y/N?"
Happiness and excitement immediately filled your mind since Yena had finally decide to hangout with u just like how u guys did in the past.
"Yeah sure thing. I'll be there whenever u need me. How about we go to the arcade just like how we used to?"
Giggles started coming out of Yena again as u smiled at her.
"Really?"
"Yeah, we'll just play everything there and who cares if we get tired at the end of the day. Sure we might be older right now but if it helps to cheer u up who cares right?"
She then started to burst into laughter.
U loved seeing this sight of her being all cheerful.
"Wait before we do that, let's have another sleepover again tonight." Yena said.
"Really? Right now?" She nodded.
"Hmm, alright then. It is getting pretty late though, I'll go home and notify my parents before getting my stuff and I'll come over later?"
"Okay! See u later Y/N."
And with that, u left her room.
Just then one thought filled Yena's mind.
Y/N.... what would I do without you...
The next day
Yena woke up the next morning and after rubbing her eyes, she realised that the computer was switched off and u were not in her room anymore.
We've really broke up huh Seungkwan. She thought to herself as she sighed.
Yena then got out of her room as she walked downstairs to see u already preparing breakfast for her.
"Oh hey you're up, did u had a good sleep?" U asked as she nodded.
"Did u make all these?"
"Yup, since we'll be hanging out together all day I figured u need to eat a better breakfast than usual."
Yena smiled at your kind gesture.
"But what about you? Don't u need to eat too?"
"I'll probably get something on the way outside later. It's alright, cmon eat up. U must be hungry after the sleep. Oh wait before that one more thing." U said before walking to the kitchen again.
It was another heartwarming moment as Yena started smiling to herself again.
U then came back with something that she had always loved since young.
"And here you go. Your favourite hot chocolate to warm u up."
But what Yena didn't know was that she was just staring at u the entire time.
She couldn't express how grateful she was towards u the entire time.
Throughout her entire childhood, while other kids had their own cliques, she only needed you by her side.
And given your aloof personality, it was a miracle that u had approached Yena to be friends back then which right now grew into something stronger.
U noticed her looking at u as u looked away, feeling embarrassed.
"I had fun last night Y/N." Yena said.
"Yeah me too. It was just like old times."
"And... I'm sorry Y/N." She said all of a sudden.
"What for?"
"When I was still dating Seungkwan, we didn't really had any chance to talk nor hangout. It was always just me and him. I'm sorry if I left u out."
U then walked towards her and smiled.
"Hey don't say that. Sure we didn't talk much during that time but it's all fine now right? We're still best friends and if u need me anytime I'll be there for u always."
A small smile broke out on Yena's face.
"Thanks Y/N. And.... I just hope that whatever happens in the future.... there won't come a day where we won't talk to each other. Otherwise, I really won't know what to do anymore..."
"U have my promise Yena." U said towards your best friend or for u, your eternal love.
Timeskip
After the breakfast, you and Yena decided to just spend the entire day walking around the neighbourhood.
Sure for others it might seem boring but to them it felt great.
Being able to talk to each other and not having to worry about others being jealous of them was just indescribable.
But deep down, Yena still felt bad about the breakup.
Not because she missed Seungkwan, but because of you.
To be honest, the last argument they had about about you that caused their separation wasn't the first one already.
Multiple times Seungkwan would just talk about how he was mad over her prioritising your friendship with her over him.
There were even times she would reject his invitation to a date just to hangout with you and of course she wouldn't tell u about it.
Yena knew that if u heard about it, u would definitely tell her to enjoy her time but at the same time she knew that u would have also felt left out which was why she chose her friendship with you over her relationship.
Compared to her ex, you had been there for her for as long as she could remember which was why she was very grateful towards you.
However that was also when Seungkwan heard that she was hanging out with u rather than going on a date with him which made his jealousy rise even more.
That was what caused they heated argument between the two of them that resulted in the breakup where he left her alone and she had to walk home alone by herself.
If u had known what happened, there was no telling what u would have done to Seungkwan given your protective personality towards Yena.
One month later
It was already one month since the breakup however Yena had acted like nothing happened at all.
She was always with u during school hours and u loved every moment of it.
As for Seungkwan, Yena didn't even look or talk to him at all let alone stealing glances at him.
It was just like the days before they were even together.
As for you, you were still in love with her of course but that feeling grew stronger every single moment u guys were together.
And because Yena didn't care about Seungkwan anymore or so u thought, you started thinking about finally revealing your feelings for her.
It might only have been a month but u figured that if during the period of time u guys spent together was fun, it would be better if the friendship progressed into something more.
And because today was your 12th year of friendship with her, u wanted to go somewhere nice to celebrate with her which was why u had the idea of following what tv actors did.
Booking an entire amusement park just for this moment.
It might have been costly but what was the losing end if u got the love of your life to be with you right?
However in the event that Yena rejected u, u promised that u would just give her some more time to prepare herself and not force it.
Cmon Y/N u can do this. At the most we can continue being friends until she's ready.
With that thought in your mind, u left your house in preparation for the biggest event of your life.

"Just a sec Y/N u can come in first." Yena said as u walked into her room.
U were mildly surprised that she was still in her pajamas since u thought she had already prepared for today.
U were about to speak up when she held a finger on her lips, signaling that she was busy talking on the phone.
Who's she talking to?
The call ended soon as Yena smiled at u.
"Sorry about that, I'll go get ready now."
U nodded and was about to leave her room until....
"Hey Yena? Who were u on the phone with?"
A look of fear then showed up on her face.
"I... I was talking to Seungkwan."

"S-seungkwan? As in that.... your ex?"
"Yeah."
U felt uncomfortable about the current situation.
"W-what did he call you for?"
"He wanted me back....." Yena mumbled.
Unbelievable
"We hadn't talked before ever since our breakup so i decided to give him a chance."

"He told me about how sorry he was for trying to make us separate and how much he missed me. And I... I also realized how much I miss him too."

"And I've decided to get back with him again."

Many thoughts were passing through your mind now.

U felt unfair that Yena chose to go back to someone who had hurt her rather than choosing someone who could love her sincerely.
U then felt something falling down your face as u touched your face.
Tears started flowing down your face as u looked down.
"Hey what's wrong Y/N?" Yena asked worriedly.
"N-nothing." U said as u rubbed your eyes.
U then felt a hug from her as she softly grazed your hair.
"I know it feels weird to see me getting back with him again. But I promise u if he tries to separate me with my best friend again, I'll definitely end everything with him alright?"
Best friend
That word continuously rang throughout your mind.
Before Yena had went to Seungkwan because u didn't say anything.
Because you were afraid yet now the same mistake was about to be made again because u were too late this time.
I have to do it now, I can't let her go again!
U slowly pushed Yena away from you before looking at her.
"Please don't go back to him."
A smile formed on her face as she held your shoulder.
"Y/N I know it hurts to-"
"No... haven't u noticed that I hardly talk at all whenever you are with Seungkwan?"
"But isn't that because you're thinking about something?"
U shaked your head.
Here goes nothing.
U had to risk it all.
"It was because.... it hurt.... to see someone that i love being together with the one she loves instead."
"Someone that u love-"
Realisation hit Yena as she widened her eyes in surprise.
"Y-you-"
"I love u Yena."
She was so shocked that words couldn't even come out of her mouth.
"Every moment we spent together, everything we did. There wasn't a single moment when I hated it."
"H-how long?"
"Since middle school. That's how long I've loved you. But I couldn't risk telling u before because I was afraid that it would cause us to not talk anymore. But now that I have the chance to tell u everything, it's best if I get it all out."
"Every time I see u with him, I would blame myself for not telling u earlier. From when we were kids to middle school, the feeling of being around with u started changing into something more. I started realising that i wanted to be with you. I wanted to be something more with you. This period of time that I spent with u after your breakup gave me the courage to finally spill it all out. But now that you're going back to him, I can't bring myself to congratulate you... I can't."
Your tears were about to fall once more but u tried to hold it in.
It was now or never, was Yena willing to give u a chance? Or was she going to just stay as friends with you?
"I-I'm sorry Y/N. I can't..."
There it was, your heart ached so much that your tears immediately started falling off again.
"I... I see. It's alright, thanks for today."
"Y/N- I-"
"I've gotta go now, I'm busy." U gave an excuse before turning away and started walking away.
"Y/N please I-"
Yena couldn't finish what she was saying as u had already shut the door.
Your heart ached the more u walked towards your house as your tears started falling off while u didn't even try to wipe it away.
It hurts so much... I shouldn't even have said anything.
The thought of Yena going back to Seungkwan came back to you once more as u almost burst into tears but u tried your best to hold it in.
However once u stepped into your room, the emotions were too much for u to bear as u burst into tears.
What do I do now... was all u could think about.
As for Yena, she was still stunned by your sudden confession.
A notification suddenly popped out on her phone as she took a glance at it.
Hey I've booked a nice restaurant for our date tomorrow.
It was Seungkwan.
Yet she didn't even bother replying.
Because her one and only best friend was hurting now.
And it was all her fault.
The look on your face came back to her as her tears also started falling.
