Sometimes in life, we all wish we can return to the past to fix our mistakes.
And there's no surprise Miyawaki Sakura herself wishes for that too.
Her entire life went down ever since she decided to marry her ex-husband despite the disapproval of her parents which led to her getting disowned after finding out that he was cheating on her for another women only to go back begging for her parents forgiveness.
Not to mention that she had a child too that she won in the divorce even though her scum of a ex-husband wouldn't even bother about her.
The people around Sakura encouraged her in the past to stay away from that scumbag but she chose to be stubborn which led to this consequence of her struggling to survive each day that passes and also having to ensure that her daughter was growing up well.
Each job that Sakura got was either unstable or the pay wasn't that high for her to pay her rent which resulted in them being homeless.
It was almost the end for her until she recently saw an online article about a hire notice for a housekeeper which was paying well which Sakura immediately applied for it.
To her surprise she received the notice that she was hired the next day as she went to work immediately.
And right now she was literally amazed at the house she was going to work at. It looked like the ones the richest of richest people would live in and she was so envious of the employer who lived there.
But if her employer was so rich, they would be also rather eccentric right? She thought. So with a nervous heart, Sakura rang the doorbell.
"H-hello? I'm the new housekeeper."
The gate then opened as Sakura went in to the house. As she went in further, she was amazed at the interior of the design of the building with her mouth agape.
However, that wasn't the biggest shock of her life as a man suddenly came out of a room while the Japanese woman was still checking out his house.
"I see you're still as curious about things as ever huh."
Sakura then turned as she met her employer's eyes.
"Cmon don't tell me u don't recognize me anymore. Well? Kkura."
Realization then hit her since there was only one person in the world who called her by that name.
"Y-Y/N? Is that really you?"
"It's been a while Kkura. How've u been?"
Sakura couldn't believe it, her friend from high school was all grown up now. He looked taller and more buff and wasn't the same person he was in the past.
"B-but how?"
"Why do u think u were hired in the first place?I saw your name on my list of employees and thought it was a coincidence. Which was why I chose u."
"Don't u think it's unfair to employ me just because we know each other?"
Y/N shaked his head.
"Well, do u want this job or not?"
That question immediately made Sakura take back her words as she nodded.
"Don't worry, u can work comfortably here. If u need your salary anytime just ask me and I'll give it to u. But before u start working, wanna have some talk? It's been a long time since we've seen each other."
"Yeah sure."
Time skip
"So how are u holding up?" Y/N asked.
"It's been.... tough. But luckily I have Nako with me. She's been cheering me up whenever things get hard for me. And now with this job, I believe our life is gonna get better."
"Nako huh... that's her name?" Sakura nodded.
"I'm sorry. I should have been there for you when i heard the news. It must have been tough for u back then."
"I-it's alright. I couldn't have faced u back then. Because of that incident."
U knew what Sakura was talking about.
The day u guys grew distant from each other because of your love for her.
When she first knew about it, she had no idea what to do about it, there was no way your feelings for her wouldn't have caused any uncomfortable situation between the two of u back then.
"U still think about that huh..." Y/N mumbled.
"Of course, back then it was the biggest shock of my life when u told me that-"
"Enough. I know what you want to say, believe me I do. I try not to but the words I told u that day still appears in my mind. And I still wish I didn't say what I had."
"But-"
"I said enough. Please don't remind me about the pain once more. I don't want to remember it." He said before walking into his room and locking it.
Sakura felt bad about it, she knew that she had overstepped her boundaries and that caused his emotional scars to appear once more.
Eventually she had to go house hunting once more as she took her child around for houses that were available for renting but none were suitable for her child to live in.
The next day
"Mummy, what are we doing here?" Her child Nako asked.
Sakura then knelt down to her child's height.
"Be good Nako, mummy's working here from now on. And he's my high school friend too, promise me you'll behave later?" She asked as Nako nodded her head.
