~stan's pov~

We packed up almost everything in our rooms into suitcases. I could tell my mom was furious. We grabbed our suitcases and left the house. Donald was grinning while we passed him. I flipped him off and me and my mom packed everything up in our car and sat inside.

"Where are we going to stay now?" I asked as my mom grabbed her phone.

"I have an old college friend. I'm going to ask her if we can stay there until we find a home." She replied.

"And you'll skip school today so we can get our money from the bank and get and get anything we need."

Great. I'm going to have to live with a complete stranger. Thanks a lot Donald.

"She said we can stay as long as we need! And that her neighbors are thinking about moving!" My mom said smiling.

"Hey how about we go shopping?" She said looking towards me.

"I'll get you that guitar you've been asking for." She said happily.

My parents and blue were the only people who knew I loved to play the guitar. I used to have one before Donald took it away, saying it was too loud. Last time I went to the mall with my mom, we saw this guitar shop. It had many choices, you could get an engraving and stickers to customize it. I've been asking for one for a while but Donald didn't let me get one.

"Really!? Thanks mom!" I smiled as she started to drive.

~at the guitar shop~

When I stepped foot into the store I was mesmerized. It had guitars sitting on shelves all around the store.

"Woah." I said as I approached the one I've been asking for.

It was black. It had white strings and a yellow outline.

"You can get this one Stan. And I'll let you get an engraving." My mom said as she walked to where I was standing.

"Why are you doing this for me?" I asked.

"Stan you deserve it. You've been getting good grades and you've been helping me out a lot. I'm sorry your father didn't let you be a kid and live your life. I want to make up for that." She said and smiled.

I hugged her.

"Thanks mom." I whispered as she hugged me back.

I decided to get an engraving that said 'stan' in big cursive letters on the front. We paid an went to some other stores. I got some new hoodies, jeans and some shoes.

I was happier without Donald. I'm glad I have my mom. She means the world to me.
