*This is an injustice rant*
I am angry, I am pissed off, I am fed up, I am sad, and I am tired.
I'm sick of the hashtags. It's not enough.
I'm not a cryer and I've cried twice. I keep asking myself what can we do and there's no answer because there isn't anything we can do.
Nobody cares about black people. They don't. "Well what about good cops?" There's no such thing. It's their JOB to do the right thing so no I'm not giving them a round of applause for doing what's right.
"Well they shouldn't resist. They should follow the rules." .....Resist ≠ Death
They're cops. I'm sure somewhere in their little academy training, they know how to handle people resisting. Especially when there are numerous videos of cops dealing with white people resisting.
There are white people out here protesting a virus, A VIRUS, getting a haircut, going to the beach, with GUNS, and cops sit there and do nothing. White people yelling in their faces, spitting, cussing at them and they do nothing.
We protest DEATHS peacefully and riot gear comes out. It's not fair and I'm tired of being forgiving. Now we gotta be mean since being nice gets us no where.
I was so hype when I saw that black panthers, that Malcolm X, that L.A. riots energy coming out. I still am but it made me sad that we still have to do this.
The Rodney King L.A. riots was almost 30 years ago and we still have to do this.
I get everybody wanna have faith that this will change but if I'm being honest, I don't think it will for a LONG time.
This country is built on white supremacy. Built on racism and they make that clear everyday. We were born as aggressors, born as the enemy, the target.
My biggest thing is that us black people need to come together. We don't have time to be divided, we never did. We need each other.
Do we not know how powerful we would be as a united front? Unstoppable.
To my brothers and sisters that have lost their lives at the hands of careless, racist, prejudice cops, I am sorry. I am sorry that they didn't see your life as worthy. We won't forget you ever.
I was going to apologize for writing all this but I'm not because I'm not sorry and I shouldn't be. This is real life. This is our reality.
Feel free to sound off your thoughts and feelings.
Oh and to the Karens out here showing their assess...🖕🏾
Sincerely,
A pissed off Black Woman
