Chapter Seven, Dragon Hunters

"Hiccup!" Elivra hissed as they flew closer. "Don't get too close we don't know what we're dealing with." Hiccup looked over at his girlfriend and nodded though he was secretly worried if they ended up in trouble she might have a seizure like the last time when she was saving the twins she ended up getting hit in the head by their arguing and had the worst seizure he'd ever seen, she was on bed rest for days. "Don't Hiccup I'll be fine. We'll both be fine." Elivra assured guessing what he was thinking. "Be ready for anything girl." Elivra whispered to Volta who let out a reassuring g trill.

As they flew closer seeing a fort all blown to bits by ice and rather large footprints. She heard Hiccup soothing Toothless and failed to notice the ship coming from behind the ice blown fort shooting nets at them. "Hiccup look out!" Elivra shouted as she banished the nets flying at them and Volta burning the others as they dodged them. Once Hiccup and a Toothless had recovered they joined in in burning or dodging the nets until the trappers had run out. Just before they could load more Elivra froze them all in place with a well timed spell. "Thanks." Hiccup says gratefully to his girlfriend as they landed on the ship Volta and Toothless growling at the trappers who stood frozen their eyes looking at them fearfully especially Elivra. "I really hate trappers!" Elivra sneered looking at all of the men with disgust on her face.

Removing the spell partially so they could speak Elivra and Hiccup took it in turns getting the information out of the lead dragon trapper, Eret. They not only found there was another dragon rider that freed the dragons they had caught and had a huge ice spitting dragon at their command there was also a person they worked for Drago Bludvist that was coming for all of their dragons and won't stop till he had them all, starting with their Nightfuries. Sharing a silent look the two jumped onto their dragons and took for Berk flying as fast as they could.
"Dad!"
"Stoick!"
"Dad!"
Sirius!"
They shouted as they reached Gobber's shop were Sirius and Hiccup worked and where Stoick was currently helping them.

"What is it Liv?!" Sirius asked seeing his daughter and Hiccup looking panicked. "There's a dragon hunter coming for our dragons! All of them!" Elivra started.
"They're building a dragon army! We met some of his workers they said there is another dragon rider that has a huge dragon that spits ice and their fort was blown to bits by it. He was called Dargo Bloodyfist or something." Hiccup said in a rush. Stoick froze where he stood stopping making the saddle for one of his people. Of course sweet Tuffnutt had to jump in. "I'll bloody his fist with my face if he tries to take my dragon." Tuffnutt exclaimed. Sirius couldn't help it he face palmed as Ruffnutt argues with her brother while Fishlegs and Snotlout tried to flirt with her, sometimes he wondered if the twins had hit each other too hard when they were growing up. As he looked up he saw the looks Stoick and Gobber shared between each other. "What is it?" He asked worriedly looking at his daughter.

"Bludvist? Drago Bludvist?!" Stoick asked his eyes wide.
"Yeah," Hiccup agreed. "Wait you know him?" Instead of explsinubg Stoick ran around heading to the stables shouting, "Ground all dragons! Seal the gates!" Hiccup, Elivra and the others running after him Hiccup and Elivra asking why they had to ground their dragons. "Lower the storm doors!" Stoick shouted still ignoring the tweens.
"Wait! What is happening?" Hiccup and Elivra asked.
"Come on! You heard the man! Lock it down." Gobber and Spitelout shouted to everyone who immediately got to work shutting the stables down.

"No dragon or Viking sets foot off this island until I give the word!" Stoick ordered addressing his people who were putting their dragons away safely in the stables. "Wait, because some guy you knew is stirring up trouble in some faraway land?" Hiccup questioned his dad as they ran after him trying to get answers. One of the Vikings tried to take Volta from Elivra's side and into the pens but she hissed and growled at them as if daring them to take her away from Elivra. One of the Vikings still tried but she swiped at them causing all the Vikings to steer clear of the female Nightfury and left her with Elivra.

Stoick fed up of being questioned finally turned around to answer their questions. Sirius stood next to his daughter watching on curiously and concerned over her safety of this person Stoick knew. He knew she would do anything to help Hiccup and he her and he also knew proven by Volta swiping at their fellow Vikings she would not be removed from Elivra's side so easily. "Because Drago Bludvist is a madman without conscience or mercy." Stoick started. Sirius and Elivra shared a look they knew who that sounded like all too well. "And if he's built a dragon army, gods help us all." Stoick continued before he turned to address his people once more. "Get them into their pens! Quickly!" Stoick ordered, as everyone rushed to do as he said though they stayed clear of Volta.

"Then, let's ride back out there. We'll follow those trappers to Drago and talk some sense into him." Hiccup argued.
"No. We fortify the island." Stoick argued.
"It's our duty to keep the peace!" Hiccup protested.
"Peace is over, Hiccup. I must prepare you for war. Sirius and Elivra can tell you what's that like. Think on how they turned up here! Chased out of their island and then the next one!"
"War? Dad, if Drago is coming for our dragons, we can't wait around for him to get here. Let's go fund him and change his mind. And this different to then." Hiccup argues.

"It's not that much different Hiccup." Sirius told him. "By the sounds of it he will kill anyone who gets in his way."
"Sirius is right. Some minds won't be changed, Hiccup. Berk and Elivra is what you need to worry about. Think how this will affect her? Affect Sirius? We promised they would be safe. A Chief protects his own." Stoick said as he walked away. "Secure the stables! Latch every stalls! This way! Quickly!"
"Hiccup, Elivra don't." Astrid protested seeing the look they shared before they looked at their Nightfuries. "We have to." Hiccup stated.
"I'll be safe dad!" Elivra said kissing his cheek before jumping onto Volta as he and Astrid tried to stop them. Toothless and Volta screeched as they took off into the air flying off out of the just closing doors ignoring the yells from Sirius and Stoick.

Taking off to where they last saw those trappers hoping that their plan, well Hiccup's plan would work.
