Chapter Twelve, Riders Slip up

A few miles away from Dragon Haven surrounded by ice lay the camp of Drago Bludvist where the remaining riders have just landed. Stormfly throwing Eret down into the snow unceremoniously as they landed. He tries to runaway but Stormfly just lands in top of him in a nesting position Astrid can't help but smirk, feeling incredibly happy with her dragon. "Okay! Look, I got you here. Now get this thing off me." Eret cried in frustration. Astrid just ignores him as she climbs off of her dragon, the others following her lead. With her axe in hand she turns around facing her captive. "Never take a toy from a dragon." She whispers as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. "Don't you know anything?" She scoffs walking away from him as she climbs up the slope to get good look at her surroundings the others following her, only to see hundreds of ships, they are severely outnumbered.

"What's down there?" Astrid muttered seeing the water bubbling in between the ship. Fishlegs peered closer at the bubbles for a moment before opening one of pouches on his belt bringing out his dragon cards flicking through them as he tries to identify what type of dragon would make such large bubbles. They're distracted from identifying the dragon when they hear their dragons growling. Turning around they see men come out of nowhere dressed in polar bear skin blowing darts at their dragons, Eret holding a knife to defend himself. The riders run to defend their dragons only to be severely outnumbered. The group along with Eret are captured and taken on to the large ship, where at the very edge stood a man draped in dragon skin looking at the bubbles, it can only be one man; Drago Bludvist. "Drago!" Eret called cockily only for said man to groan at the sound of his voice, clearly he was t happy with the trapper.

"Get off me." Eret growled at the man holding him. Chuckling nervously as Drago came walking slowly towards them. "Always great to see you, my friend! Keeping warm up here?" He doesn't answer the trapper as stalked closer the armoured dragons in front of them bowing to him as he passed obviously scared of the man. "As you can see, I'm tight on time." Eret blagged his way through. "With a new batch of dragons, just like I promised." Eret days pointing to the dragons that were asleep on the carts but Hookfang was starting to come around snapping and snarling at the men holding him down very angry about being tied down. "Drop the ropes!" Drago ordered his men a wicked smirk on his face. Hookfang snapped once more at the men before he snarled at Drago who snarled back at him stalking towards him.

Hookfang unleaded a torrent of fire directed at Drago But he covered himself with the dragon skin that hung around his shoulders all the while still walking towards the dragon. The riders looked on worriedly, Eret chuckling nervously as Drago covered himself from the now smoking dragon skin and was handed a spear. Hookfang roared in anger at Drago who let out a guttural yell spinning the spear around his head shocking Hookfang into silence. As he stepped in front of growling and banging the spear on the ground Hookfang flinched away from the man and slowly lowered submitting to the man who had a nasty twisted smirk on his face as he placed his foot on Hookfang's snout. "Hookfang!" Snotlout calmed worriedly.
"What are you doing?" Astrid snapped. But they received no answer as he told the dragon that he belonged to him now.

"And as an added bonus..." Eret spoke nervously obviously terrified of his boss. "I also caught you their riders. No extra charge."
"What?" Astrid snapped. "Are you kidding me!" as Ruffnut bemoaned that he had been so perfect.
"Turns out, there is a whole bunch of them out there." Eret told Drago ignoring the riders behind him. Before he could speak anymore he was held up by the throat by a very angry Drago. "How many?" He snarled. Astrid gasped realising her mistake. "Drago doesn't have them after all!" She whispered more to herself then her friends realising what's she's done. "How many?!" Drago snapked choking Eret when he didn't answer.
"Hundreds." Astrid answered. "A whole island full!"

"I wouldn't worry about it." Eret coughed trying to get some air into his lungs. "My men are hunting them down as we speak. They won't know where you're hiding, I promise you that."
"Oh yes, they will." Astrid insisted. "They know we're missing. Two members have magic and can easily track us down and they also have tracking dragons. If you so much as touch us, Elivra and Hiccup are gonna kick..." Astrid argued as she walked towards Drago who had dropped a gasping Eret to the floor.
"Elivra? Hiccup?" Drago asked confused.
"They're not a problem. Really. Trust me." Eret tasked trying to get control back over the situation.
"Hiccup is only the son of Stoick the Vast, his heir to the throne of Berk." Astrid replied. "And Elivra is a witch, her father a wizard and she is the betrothed of Hiccup so also the Consort to the throne of Berk.

And they are the greatest dragon masters this world has ever seen!" She sand almost cockily  as that usually frightens their enemies but it doesn't seem like it will now.
"Magic? Dragon Masters? I alone control the dragons!" Drago raged.
"Nope. Mmm-mmm." Tuffnutt said smirking and shaking his head.
"Sorry." Fishlegs said almost laughing at Drago as Ruffnut and Snotlout laughed at him.
"And unless you let us go, right now, they will blast through here on their Night Furies and blow your entire fleet of ships to splinters. If you want to know what Elivra can do with magic ask Eret here." Astrid said smirking thinking she had scared the scarred man.
"Then they will be crying like babies." Ruffnut just had to tad as Tuffnutt and Snotlout joining in antagonising the scarred man.

An angry scowl twisted his face making is scarred face seen more gruesome as he snatched Eret off of the floor by his throat. "First, there was one rider, and now, all of Berk. And they have Magic? And you led them to me!" He snarled squeezing Eret's jaw before he threw him away from him. "Drago!" Eret pleases as he tried to get up off the floor.
"Stop all preparations!" Drago ordered his men. "We just attack the dragon riders' nest at once! We will take down their alpha! Then we will take Berk!" The men cheered for their leader as the riders watched on worried and scared as their plan had backfired on them big time. They hadn't helped at all. They had only made things worse and now their home was going to be attacked. As Drago ordered Eret to be attacked and dealt with Stormfly jumped on top of him protecting him and the riders who had stood behind Eret.

"Stormfly! No!" Astrid exclaimed with grief fighting against the man that was holding her to help her dragon who had knocked unconscious by a dart. Eret staggered to his feet seeing an unconscious Stormfly his eyes widened in surprise as something changed within him.
