Chapter Nine, A Mysterious Figure

Hiccup and Elivra were flying on their dragons just above the cloud bank as the sun was setting it would have looked rather romantic just the two of them on their dragons s if they weren't heading towards a madman. That was until Hiccup let out a loud scream if frustration before falling back on to Toothless' back who trilled in concern. "It's okay, Hiccup." Elivra calla soothingly to her boyfriend, her betrothed. "Everything's going to be fine and you know I'm always here for you." Elivra looked over smiling happily but his eyes shined with worry. "Thank you Liv I don't know what I would do without you. Are you okay? You look really pale." Hiccup asked concerned. But Elivra just shook of his concern not wanting to worry him they had enough to worry about.

"Don't worry bud." Hiccup soothed his dragon who still cooed at him. "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. I promise." Hiccup said patting his dragon as Elivra made a similar one to Volta but they both just grumbled as they could sense someone coming up to them. And growled as they noticed a figure coming up out of the cloud bank below them. "Oh, come on, Dad! Really?" Hiccup asked as he slowly sat up.
"I don't think it's your dad, Hiccup." Elivra said not getting the same feeling she got from Stoick when the figure suddenly appeared in front of them covered in similar armour as them that had blue paint on it standing on a dragon they couldn't see before they disappeared beneath the clouds once more.

"Hiccup!" Elivra calmed worried a spell on the tip of her tongue.
"It's okay just no sudden movements." Hiccup said trying to assure them though he wasn't sure he believed his own words. Only for a dragon to screech as a dragon twice the size of their dragon shot suddenly out of the clouds in front of them startling them. It flew around circling them easily with its large wings, while Toothless and Volta had to beat their weapons rapidly for them to stay still in the air and in one spot. The figure on top of the dragon pointed its staff at them as it flew around them before landing in front of them the three dragons beating their wings made the clouds stir up around them.

Elivra shot Hiccup a worried look wondering what the hell was going on. "It's okay. Hold on. Hold on." Hiccup assured. Both Volta and Toothless getting ready to fire but with the clouds stirred up more dragons appeared snatching both Hiccup and Elivra off of their dragons. Thinking quickly as Toothless was starting to fall without Hiccup, Elivra placed a bubble-head Charm on Toothless and on Volta so they wouldn't drown in the frozen ocean below them. Volta screeched angrily seeing her rider in an unknown dragons hold. "Volta help Toothless!" Elivra shouted pointing down to him as Hiccup screamed his name. Volta looked from each of companions wondering who to help before flying down to help Toothless get on top of the broken ice as they watched their riders be pulled away from them, the two Night Furies feeling utterly useless.

As the two Night Furies watched screeching to their riders obviously worried for them they were unaware of the two water type dragons coming up behind them and pulling them under the water with their large webbed wings dragged them under the water, screeching as they tried to get away but they were no match as all that was left in the water afterwards was Hiccup's and Elivra's helmets as they headed in the direction the other dragons went.

While with Hiccup and Elivra they were trying to convince the mysterious figure to go back for Toothless and Volta. "Hey! You left our dragons back there! Mine can't fly on his own! He will drown! And Volta won't leave her mate!" Hiccup shouted but there was no answer from the figure as they entered a ice mountain coming out the other side to see small island that was covered in great icy spikes the colour of turquoise. They entered through the side of the crevice and were only let go by the dragons holding them when they were inside and surrounded by more dragons. "Shh it's okay." Elivra soothed to the dragons that were starting to hiss at them but at that the ones were slowly calming down as the figure watched on curiously as the dragons near her seemed to calm and become protective of her.
