"we're meant to play with each other, that's all." both teenagers said in unison as the adult laughed and closed the door behind him.
y/n didn't really know how this will turn out, but she just didn't look into the future, and simply focused on the present.
the bell rang.
the girl could hear the volleyball club coming out from the gym, chatting and laughing as they were wiping the sweat off of their burning faces from practice.
the man clapped his hands and nodded, instructing both to play whenever they felt like.
y/n sighed and smiled as she looked the boy sat at the piano and put up the partitions. he did a quick thumbs-up and winked playfully, whispering a "good luck.".
she took a deep breath in, and started playing. her eyes were closed, she felt rather confident.
she felt trust in the boy, she knew he wouldn't deceive her.
the piece started of perfectly, the boy followed the girl perfectly, as though they had rehearsed before. the wind accompanied the both of them and their music, creating a sweet soft sound.
the spiccato and dynamics were impressive. the two teenagers fit each other perfectly; it wasn't a competition for them, but a duet, a unison.
the trills were executed properly and on time, the girl didn't miss any beats and played every note, though nothing sounded robotic. music isn't just about playing the right notes, it's about conveying a message and feelings to the audience.
the boy followed the girl perfectly, he didn't stop once. he just smirked. he knew they were well-adapted to each; a pair with talent in a thousand.
the first rather strong movement ended, and the second one started taking place. it was rather filled with some sort of sweet sorrow, not the depressing type, but like it was accepted.
the girl's and boy's brows furrowed as they played with passion, not giving a care about their surroundings, or even their senior.
the girl hadn't realized golden eyes were staring at her from outside through the window.
the red-haired boy still followed the girl's melody, and adapted to how she played, not how he played.
the last part came, quite intense. more people from outside approached the music, as the man with black hair and glasses just smiled and examined the two players.
as the end approached, the more it got intense. the chords were hit perfectly and with the right power and intensity.
both smiled at the same time, they knew they did well.
as soon as they opened their eyes, they could hear cheers and compliments coming from everywhere around them; the halls, the classrooms, the windows, the gym, everywhere.
the stared at each other confused, they didn't realize how good they did.
"alright, i made my choice.
i'm taking you both under me as my students, we're reforming the music club."
the teenagers looked at each other with wide eyes, as they both smiled excitedly at each other. the girl put down her violin and high-fived the boy.
both went up to their soon-to-be future music teacher, and bowed at a perfect 90° angle, in respect.
"you sure are something."
