The next day's performance consisted of three pieces being played ; being Praeludium and Allegro by Fritz Kreisler, Sarabande by Bach and for the finale, Liebesleid or commonly called Love's Sorrow, being one of the most famous finale pieces in the world of classical music. All her friends and family came, due to the performance being one of the most important ones in her life. The pressure was grand ; important teachers and personalities will eventually come just to watch her perform on stage. One thing that she had to do ; was to just perform her heart out with these three pieces.

The first being brisk, vivid and restless and involving numerous techniques. The second one being technically challenging with chords despite sounding so simple ; a large contrast to the previous piece due to it being from the baroque era. And the third one, the sweetest of them all three.

As soon as he heard it, Atsumu felt a heavy sensation sink in his heart, from the first note that reached his ear. He was enchanted by the sound her violin produced ; no, the sound that her heart produced. The piece sounded like a valse, with the piano's repetitive patterns and loving melody. The setter was in a daze, completely under Y/n's charm. This feeling that lingered in his heart as he listened to her playing was one of a kind, one that felt so heavy and strong, bringing his eyes to tears. Despite the piece being the easiest and least-demanding one technically, emotionally it was by far not a piece of cake. There needed to be a perfect balance between technique and emotions, and Y/n found it perfectly.

Her mind filled with fields of flowers, and her simply running through them as cherry blossom petals fell from the sky. The feeling of the gentle breeze blowing against her face, the sweet scent of the thousands of flowers, the feeling of the fresh grass under her bare feet, and the peacefulness that surrounded her. Yet, behind this beautiful scenery that she created in her mind, there was sorrow lingering deep in her heart. One that was painfully slowly devouring her whole, maliciously waiting for the right time to ambush her.

Her eyes remained closed the whole time, once again not feeling the need to communicate physically with Hyouta. They had their common language, and no words were needed for it. Their minds communicated with each other, as if a shock of electricity was running in between them.

Suna himself was wrapped around her finger simply by listening to her play. He felt thousands of indescribable sensations at once, yet his soul was fully at peace. He couldn't feel any calmer, not a single sign of tension. His usual lazy expression was replaced by one filled with amazement and admiration.

This experience, despite being completely physically and mentally draining, bore fruit after all this harsh work and constant pressure she was emphasising on herself ; she couldn't be resting. What was that that made her different from the other competitors? Was it greed to prove to everyone that she was the best? No. It was a connection to the music, a better understanding of her instrument. Despite her violin not being the most expensive one out of the competitors', she had the ability to adapt to any instrument and bring out its colors ; just like a setter brings out its spikers' full potential. Without a player, a violin, an inanimate object, could not make a sound ; without a setter, a spiker won't receive tosses and won't spike and score points.

Atsumu and Y/n weren't so different from each other after all.

The road trip back was filled with constant chatter, shouting, sleeping and pure annoyance. With Atsumu sitting besides Y/n once again, it was constant fighting and disagreement. Yet.. In a way it was peaceful, it was sweet and jovial.

They all went their own ways at the end, Suna once again insisting on accompanying the girl home despite her disagreeing to it due to him having to rest, him being his stubborn self for her.

"You're so stubborn.. You don't have to, really!"The girl softly chuckled, tucking her hand in her pocket lazily as she walked with the other who carried her suitcase, her violin on her back.

"Hey.. Have you been in a relationship before? You always skip the topic when we talk about it.."He sighed, his gaze towards the pink-ish sky. The girl's eyes widened at his question, not having expected him to notice her avoiding the subject.

"Huh.. Yeah, I have.."She looked down, deep in her thoughts.

"Judging from your face, it didn't end too well, did it?"He stated lazily, having read her face like it was a page from a book.

"You don't have to be so blunt about it!,"She sighed, looking at the road in front of her. "Well, you're right. It ended badly. It was...complicated to get over it but I eventually made it. I was in a relationship with Nekoma's current captain and middle blocker was it..? Anyways, it's Kuroo Tetsurou, the bed-hair dude. Maybe you saw him at Nationals."

"Him? Oh yeah, I do know him. I watched them play since I heard they had strong blocks. So with the captain huh..? What brought you two together?"He raised an eyebrow, having full interest in her love life so he'd pick up on things and learn more from her.

"We.. were really good friends. Then we kinda just got together. It was nice, really nice. But last year, when I came back from Nationals that asshole cheated!"She explained as she bumped her fist in her other hand. "I don't know why he did it.. But well, what can I do. Now we're best friends again ; it's history now."She continued, smiling lazily.

The raven-haired slouching boy couldn't help but stare at her red-ish lips from the cold as she spoke with a soft, sweet tone. Her mouth really was a gun and her words the bullets.

"Hey, are you listening? Rin'?"She clicked her fingers in front of his face, a concerned look on hers.

"O-oh yeah right, yeah sorry. I heard everything. 'Got distracted, yikes."

"You idiot."She muttered, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she groaned quietly, a baby-like pout on her face.

"Man, you're such a baby. Should I be concerned?"

"Let me be childish for one second without having to roast me!"She burst out like an angry kitten at him, bumping her fist against his chest.

"Nah, too lazy."He stuck his tongue out, obviously teasing her.

The two teenagers walked to the girl's house, laughing and fighting most of the time. By the time they arrived, they were exhausted just from talking to each other the whole time. The two bid their goodbyes rather monotonously, not wanting to leave each other.

Not that they completely left each other since phones were still a thing, so of course a phone call was bound to happen between the two.

The boy once again felt this bizarre sensation in his stomach ; not this agonizing one, but this somehow pleasant one. One you'd call having butterflies. With every second, every minute passing, he could feel this feeling growing ; his love for her growing.
