That feeling after being in the spotlight on the scene, after that moment where you're so profoundly lost in the music that you forget about all your surroundings, after those short minutes where you could finally be an egoist and only think about yourself ; it was something purely unexplainable. Neither Hyouta or Y/n could explain it with words ; but they could feel it deep inside their hearts. It was their time to shine as a revolutionary duo. Not for the sake of the competition have they prepared this piece, but to showcase their musicality and love and passion they both share with their instruments.

And it was obvious, how much work they put in it, barely making it to the competition ; their hard work payed off. In fact, Y/n was announced as this year's top competitor and winner. Something unimaginable for someone who learnt a piece in one month and barely met their accompanist, also not having made it into the top three competitors last year due to some broken rules. Right on stage, the girl broke out in tears out of proudness and happiness that her playing reached even the judges' hearts. Neither Aika, Kuroo, or the Inarizaki boys could comprehend why she was so emotional ; only her one and only best friend and accompanist could.

Yua wasn't surprised that she arrived second after Y/n ; she was always one step behind the girl's musicality. She just wasn't able to grasp the feeling, neither could she create a clear image of what the music represent ; it was just notes on a music sheet. But just what was the solution to her deficit? How could she be on the same level as Y/n? She did try doing that, in fact she asked for help, but she couldn't find an answer to her questions.

"Y/n, you bitch! You didn't call me at all in this past month!"A girl with collarbone-length peach-coloured hair loudly shouted, barging into Y/n's practice room, a boy with raven hair right behind her. Y/n turned her head around, eyes wide like she just saw a ghost and cheeks puffed up like a hamster, mouth full of ramen.

"Aika.. Tetsu?! How did you get in?! You're not allowed to be here-"Y/n exclaimed, gulping down her noodles with a loud sound.

"We got a pass~"The raven-haired boy explained, pushing his friend inside as he closed the door with his foot.

"Hyouta, meet my friends from Tokyo Kuroo Tetsurou and Kimiko Aika. Guys, this is Youshiro Hyouta, my accompanist and fantastic pianist."She lazily smiled, taking another bite out of her food and letting a comforting sound, signalling she enjoyed eating.

"Nice to meet y'a, Kuroo, Kimiko."The red-haired boy nodded, a small smirk on his lips.

"Pleasure to meet you, Youshiro!"The peach-hair excitedly exclaimed, clicking her fingers and winking at the boy. Kuroo simply nodded back at him, sitting down next to Y/n and patting her head softly.

"We need to catch up girl, you didn't call me once this month. You owe me a full dinner."Aika sternly said, arms crossed in front of her chest and leaning against the opposite wall.
