All the players and musicians made their way to the Tokyo stadium where later the team would be playing. All were thrilled like little foxes seeing a bird they will prey on. When they arrived, the entire group separated into two smaller groups consisting of the team, Ai and the coach and the two musicians and Ishikawa. Y/n kept her violin in between her legs and read over her music sheet whilst they waited for Inarizaki's turn. Honestly, the girl was more excited for this tournament than for her own.
"Hyouta, what time does your competition starts tomorrow? Mine is like at eight in the evening." Y/n exclaimed, chewing a banana as she smiled sweetly.
"Mine's at three in the afternoon." He answered, looking at the courts and the team's playing lazily.
"Let's practice tomorrow morning at nine if you want, since today we'll only be free after five or something like that." The bleachers started to fill up with the entire Inarizaki school, which the girl gulped down her saliva at. It was huge, and even had an entire band and cheerleaders just to themselves which she found incredible.
Hyouta, Ishikawa and Y/n continued chatting, before the headmaster came to talk to them and asked how everything was going, which they all replied with a large smile. The provisor eventually came a bit closer to Y/n, sitting down next to her as he put his hand over his mouth.
"Y/n, I know you haven't practiced and this is very last minute...But would you mind playing a piece as they play? Just to get them in the mood ; I have seen how much they enjoyed your playing." He whispered to the girl, a wide smile planted on his lips as his fox-like eyes curved into an upside-down smile.
"Like when they start? But I-...Sure, if it helps them win ; I'll do it!" She answered fiercely, looking at the director who smiled at her positive and fierce attitude.
So immediately as the provisor left, she started thinking about what piece to play that would motivate them and cheer them up. She also instantly started stretching her fingers and opening her case, since Inarizaki's volleyball team and Karasuno's already started lining up at the court.
"Now another very promising match between the crows and the foxes ; Karasuno High against Inarizaki High School! Two very fierce team, this will be one of the most legendary matches seen, I assure you!" The presentation started speaking loudly through the loud-speakers.
The headmaster quickly explained that he'll give her a cue when she'll start to play, so right after the band. Y/n honestly was scared to death ; of course she didn't want to embarrass not only herself but the team too. So she decided to go rather safe by choosing a piece she often used to warm-up ; being the Henryk Wieniawski Études-Caprices, Op,18. Of course she didn't have a second violin so it would sound bizarre to her, but it was short and rather energetic so there wasn't a problem. She started unpacking her violin, putting rosin on her bow as some other students from Inarizaki and even other schools watched her in confusion.
The match was about to start, and the band started playing their piece as the cheerleaders started performing too. Atsumu was first to serve, and he dramatically walked to the serving spot. He raised his fist in the air, and as soon as he clutched his hand, the band stopped playing instantly. Atsumu threw the ball in the air, as he jumped and his hand came in contact with the ball, sending it flying at enormous speed across the court. Karasuno was shocked, and Y/n could see it in their eyes ; but she was just the same.
He was a monster.
Atsumu, however, missed his second serve so it was now the opposite team's turn. As soon as Asahi started getting prepared to serve, the Inarizaki students all started boo-ing the poor boy, who was crushing under the pressure and was unable to hit a very powerful serve. Inarizaki caught the ball, and sent it back to Karasuno. Kageyama got in position to set, as Hinata started approaching the net, all jovial and bubbly. And then, he jumped high, very high. Kageyama set the ball to him perfectly, however, Hinata being the not-so smart person he is, forgot to hit the ball as he admired his jump and those from Suna and Aran. So of course it ended in a point to Inarizaki.
