Percy POV

I watched as the arm of the sibling was outstretched and before he could fire I yelled out "NOW!" The sibling releases its attack but the energy beam was blocked before it could hit me. When the dust cleared, Belado and Torvi were stood in front of me. Torvi had taken off the invisibility cap Annabeth had lent her while Belado had a latent invisibility power I'd seen during training.

They now put the hats back on before taking them off periodically to confuse the sibling as they attacked. It was clear that they weren't much more than bees stinging a giant though. I looked down and saw Chaos's spear glittering on the ground. I began to head towards it; hobbling as fast as I could. Suddenly the sibling swung his arms out and I heard a crash as Belado fell to the ground, suddenly visible again but clearly unconscious . Torvi only lasted another few seconds before she was suddenly grabbed by the throat and the hat ripped off her head as the Sibling began to strangle her.

I dived to the floor and managed to grab the spear. I got up again and began to hobble towards the Sibling. He blasted me again once more but I threw everything I had into not letting the blow toss me aside. I saw shock cross the face of the Sibling as I screamed but still managed to keep moving forward. I saw fear and desperation cross his face as he kept firing beam after beam as I headed forward. I felt the very flesh being torn from my bones as I screamed in agony but kept making my way forward. As I got within striking range, the Sibling tried to lunge at me but Chaos, still pinned, grabbed its leg and pulled it back. Off balance for a second, but a second was enough. I stumbled forward and landed Chaos's spear into the chest of the Sibling.

"NOOOOOOO!" The Sibling yelled as it screamed in agony and began to glow so brightly that despite the ship's atmosphere I had to look away. I knew what was going to happen but there was no way to get away now. I heard Annabeth scream my name as my vision went white and I heard a sound so loud my ears nearly burst.
