Percy POV.

I stepped out of the portal and emerged at Camp Half-Blood, Leo, Calyspo, Jason and Piper were with me, Torvi said she'd catch up with us later, she wanted to say her goodbyes before she left. As I closed the portal and took a step towards the camp; I noticed a shadow at the edge of my sight.

I turned to see Reyna, walking towards me. She now wore a purple toga and blue trainers, an unusual style but somehow she pulled it off. A small tiara with an emerald diadem sat above her head while a blue necklace hung around her neck.

She stopped a few metres away from me. "Percy..." she said her voice, trailing off. I nodded at her and I heard faint footsteps behind me. I turned to see the others slinking away slowly, not meeting my eyes except for Leo who gave me a tepid thumbs up.

"Have you heard from him?" Reyna's voice made me redirect my attention towards her. "No I haven't, it's annoying as we could really use his help with our current predicament; now is not the time for him to go vanishing." Reyna straightened her spine and responded, "he would never have left without a good reason. " I saw a flicker of the indomitable leader she used to be and was barely able to suppress a smile. "That's true I suppose... how are you doing?"

"Are you asking out of politeness or do you actually care?" She asked me, holding my gaze. "No one understands acting out due to losing what you love most more than me. I forgive you Reyna and I'll try and make the rest of the camp understand that as well." She smiled at me, a smile of pure joy I hadn't seen from her since our reunion on my return to Earth. "Thank you Percy, that means a lot... I know about you and Annabeth." I couldn't help a grimace and I looked at the grass to her left; avoiding her piercing gaze. "We've grown close lately, she's stronger than you give her credit for, let her prove herself to you. If not now then when?"

I stood still, absorbing her words. " I guess that's true..." I sighed. "Come on, let's go to the Big House; there's a lot to explain about our mission and we need the help of the demigod queen."

I gestured for her to follow me as I heard towards the Big House. Chiron and the others were already there, standing outside. One of the mercenaries who'd gone on ahead must have organised a meeting. I took a deep breath and headed through the doors.
