Chaos POV
I felt it... his presence made my very soul shiver. Millenia ago, End and I trapped our third sibling in the sun, fearing him for being stronger than the two of us combined. Now I could feel his shackled begin to loosen, his rage as he began to wake from his slumber.
End was dead, killed by my champion Perseus. With his help we may have been strong enough to fend off our sibling once again but now I had to resort to other options.
"This is why I have gathered you here. If my sibling breaks loose, his escape will tear apart half our universe. Even if I shield the nearest planets from from that blow, I'll be so severely weakened that I'll be unable to protect the earth or fight him off. That leaves the rest of you and the heroes to have to make up enough power to equal that End and I had. "
I looked around me, taking in the crestfallen faces. My throne room was filled with a vast pantheon of deities; from the Greco-Roman gods to the Sumerian to the Egyptian to the Aztec.
"What about the two champions, Perseus and Hassan, how much power do they have?" Thoth, the Egyptian god of knowledge asked.
"Perseus has about 80% of my power, since he inherited strength from his father Ouranos's death. Hassan's rise to King of the Demigods means he has about 70% of my power. Even if End and I at full strength fought our sibling, we'd be incredibly unlikely to win. Last time we had the element of surprise and treachery on our side. Now, the situation so far more precarious."
"We will need more strength then, but from where? The Sumerian goddess Ishtar added.
"We have our own champion," Quetzalcoatl the Mesoamerican god replied. "We checked his abilities as you spoke and he will provide another 60 percent."
"Excellent news, but I fear there can't be any more such powerful demigods around or the rest of us would have known about them."
"That's not entirely true..." Odin interjected. "Using my all seeing eye, I have kept an eye on a few more still out there in the universe."
"You did what?! Without consulting us?!" Jupiter roared before I held up a hand, shushing him into silence.
"Odin, if we send groups of heroes to find these powerful beings, would that work?"
Before Odin could respond, Horus interjected. "What about the power of our Pantheons. We still haven't taken that into account?".
There was a muttering and then a "hear hear" from Sobek.
"That's true; but as I said I can't protect the earth itself. If my brother escaped, he will fashion his explosion to target this earth specifically, all the other planets in our system will merely be collateral damage. This is the center of all life in the universe, and my sibling will strike his strongest blow there. It will require the combined strength of all your pantheons to shield Earth from that attack while I minimise the damage to the rest of our cosmos. All our other troops will focus on fighting the army my sibling has been amassing. Truly terrifying creatures, monsters who dwell in the sun itself. " I spoke, feeling a rising sense of dread with my every word.
The gods all looked downwards; none being able to meet my gaze.
"Make whatever preparations you need to make now, in the calm before the storm. Odin, send them information on the demigods to me when you arrive back on Asgard, I'll send my best to retrieve these powerful demigods."
As the gods flashed out of the room, I slumped into my throne; anxious and terrified of what was to come.
