Percy POV

3 months. It'd had been 3 months since we'd saved the world and yet lost everything. It hadn't even fully registered with me yet; I'd felt like I'd been in a daze ever since.

But now it was time for the deification ceremony. The gods had left behind thrones for each of us, once we sat on them our positions would be confirmed. Rather than multiple pantheons, there would now just be one.

I was standing at what was once the entrance to the Olympian council room. It was no longer accessed via the Empire State Building either, a secret gateway had been made in every city so all demigods and legacies could access it as a safe haven where've they needed.

I took a step forward and headed towards what was once Zeus's seat. Annabeth was beside me and I squeezed her hand before she headed off to what was once Hera's seat. All the other heroes began to file into the room and approach a specific throne.

We'd all drawn up plans and had established new domains for each god to reside over. I asked loudly. "If there are any who wish to back out or are not ready, speak now."

There was silence and so I sat down on my throne and everything began to glow gold. I shut my eyes and after what felt like a few minutes I stood up.

I looked around and saw the other 15 who had been selected to be the major gods glowing various colours as their bodies hummed with power. I decided to seize the moment and declared my godhood, partly for their benefit and partly to make myself believe it.

"I am Perseus Jackson. King of the Gods and god of the oceans, rebirth, darkness and loyalty."

The others began to follow suit.

Annabeth was now the queen of the gods and the goddess of redemption, knowledge and light.

Thalia was the new goddess of the moon, the hunt and battle.

Jason was the god of the sky, courage and lightning.

Piper was the goddess of love, desire and modesty.

Leo was the new god of blacksmiths and fire as well as creativity.

Calypso was the new goddess of healing, friendship and nature

Hazel was the new ruler of the underworld while Frank was her consort and the god of war in his own right.

Hassan and Reyna remained the demigod king and queen but were also part of the divine pantheon now.

Reyna was the goddess of determination, the earth and reconciliation.

Hassan was the god of unity, civilisation, peace and hope.

Nico and Will were the new "twin gods" taking over the domains left over from Artemis and Apollo as well as Selene and Helios.

Belado of the aztecs was the new god of the sun and of wildlife and spirits.

Torvi was now the goddess of divinity, warriors and the family

Zoe had become the goddess of ritual, sacrifice and justice.

Luke meanwhile had become the god of heroism, life and messengers.

Any other domains were attributed to a new tier of minor gods, led by Clarisse, queen of the minor gods.

Together myself, Torvi, Belado, Reyna, Annabeth, Thalia, Hassan, Luke, Jason had formed a new version of the Olympians, essentially the "Archon twelve" as Hassan insisted upon calling us.

The sixteen of us all met for dinner that night. After announcing our godhood, we'd walked outside to be celebrated with a feast organised by the demigods and Chiron. After what seemed like endless festivities, we were now all enjoying a

"So what now." Leo asked as he reclined in his seat.

"We respect those who came before and try to do better." Hassan spoke as he placed his drink down on the table. While most of us drank alcohol, as a Muslim he had an insistence on Pepsi for himself.

"But how do we know for sure we won't make the same mistakes? Having such power and for so long will surely change us." Hazel spoke.

"Maybe so, but unlike our predecessors we have a generation before us to learn from". Calypso spoke and we all murmured in agreement.

"Whatever the future holds" I said as I began to stand. "We'll have each other to keep us in check and we'll face it together."

I raised my glass and so did the others. As we did so a sudden comet flew by overhead, as if it was signalling the birth of a new age.
