Your POV

The party was in full swing when we had arrived, I wasn't quite sure what time we were supposed to arrive since I didn't have his number to ask. We just figured we would show up around the same time we would usually show up to a party, we were right to show up at this time. The apartment was dim, lights were flickering everywhere and the music was blaring. Serena tugged my hand as we weaved our way through the crowd, I kept my eyes moving thought trying to take in all of the elements of this party. I saw a couple practically having sex in the hallway, a group of guys getting high in whatever in the corner of the room, and girls stripping drinking while a crowd of boys cheered them on. Not anything really new to me, but I had figured that since these people went to an art school they would be a little more behaved and mannered then us who went to regular Uni. I guess they were just like us after all, Serena finally let my hand go and we arrived where they had alcohol.

"I would suggest we make our own drink but God knows if these bottles were tampered with", she pointed to the empty alcohol bottles that were lined up on the counter.

"What do we do then, should we have beer. Those bottles are sealed so it should be safe", I pointed to the cooler that held beer bottles wedged in between ice.

"No, beer isn't a lady's drink Y/n. It's not sexy", she rolled her eyes at me teasingly.

"I brought this", she pulled out a bottle of Jack Daniels from her bag and grabbed two cups. Mixing the whiskey with soda that we found in the fridge, again untampered with.

After a few drink we were sort of buzzed but we mingled amongst the crowd of people that were here for the same reason. Speaking of which I hadn't seen him all night, it made me sort of sad because I knew he was either with the hat girl or maybe this was a hoax to get me here and stand me up. Either way I was a tad disappointed but I took another drink from the Jack bottle to try and remove that feeling from my heart.

"Hey would you like to dance", a boys voice shook me out of my thoughts.

"Sure", Serena gave him a smirk.

"I'll be back ok, don't wonder too far", she smirked and winked at me as she was whisked off to the dance floor.

I took this time to explore the places the party was disturbing, it was too loud and hot so I needed to escape for a bit. I didn't dare open any of the doors that were in the hall way as I mangled to walk down the straight path knowing what was going on behind them. So I simply admire the paintings.

"Glad to see you could make it", a voice startled me.

"You scared me", I panted and held my hand over my heart.

"Sorry", his eyes and smile lit up with amusement.

"I didn't think you were here, I hadn't seen you", I went back to look at the painting.

"Sorry I had a conflict to resolve", he smirked at me but nonetheless came to stand next to me as I continued to stare at the art.

"Your girlfriend", I answered and he looked at me confused.

"The huffy blonde I saw you with at the gallery", I clairified.

"Meadow isn't my girlfriend but yes her, she doesn't understand that I'm not looking for someone or something serious right now", he shrugged.

"Why not", a wave of disappointment came over me as he said that. It made me feel like it wasn't worth chasing him for.

"I'm not denying it, I'm just not looking for it but when it happens and I know it's right and feel right then I'll make that person my girlfriend", he clairified.

"Now come, enough of this serious life talk. Let's go enjoy the party", he held his hand out for me to take.

I took it willingly and aloud him to whisk me away to have fun, little did I know I was plunging into a rabbit hole that would change life for me as I knew it.
