*NOTE: In this chapter Priya, Arjun and Pooja live on their own in a different house from the rest of their family*
Based off of the prompt:
Person A: 'I love you'
Person B: *shoves laundry basket into A's hands* 'stop saying I love you to get out of chores'
"What's for lunch?" Arjun asks, making his way towards Priya.
"Lunch? You just ate!" She sighs exhausted. "Besides today's Sunday- cleaning day. Have you cleaned our room yet?"
"How about the three of us go out for lunch today? There's a really good Chinese place I know Pooja will love! And we can go out for ice cream after where you can get your favourite black current flavour." He says, wrapping his arms around her.
"Stop kidding yourself. You're not getting anything to eat unless you help clean." She can't help but smile at his childish antics. Just like their daughter, he was always trying to get out of chore duty by buttering up to her.
He pouts, but wraps his arms tighter around her. "Not fair Priya," he whispers into her ear. "Pooja's busy cleaning her room, why don't you take a break and I can give you a massage."
"Not a chance, today Mr. CEO will have to help clean if he wants anything to happen!" She laughs, placing a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Priya,"
"Hmm?"
"I love you."
"Nice try, you aren't getting out of your chores that easily" Priya escapes his hold and thrusts a basket of laundry into his arms. "Your romance cannot get you out of your chores, and don't even try anything else, your daughter has already done all the tricks in your book!"
Arjun frowns, "ennaku vanthiruke, rani mangamma." He turns around, knowing that he can't escape his duties when Priya interrupts. (Of course the one I love/married is a 'she-devil' (not actual translation but idk what else works in English 😂)
"Lunch and ice cream does sound like a plan though, I'll let Pooja know."
They share a smile and eye lock before continuing with their work.
