Phone Backgrounds Part 2

A couple hours later, Arjun was no where to be found. His phone sat abandoned on his bed, calling out to little Pooja.

She quickly tiptoes into the room, and grabbed the phone. "Wow Appa finally changed his wallpaper! That took him-" she starts counting her fingers, "one week!" She laughs to herself. She goes to change the wallpaper when she realizes that it was a picture of the three of them together. "Huh? Usually Appa's wallpapers are pictures of me and him. Now he has Priyamma has his wallpaper? Does this mean Appa loves Priyamma!?" She hops around excitedly before running into the living room with the phone.

"Priyamma!" She calls out, searching the room. "Paati, Priyamma enga?" (Paati, where is Priyamma?)

"Unga Priyamma, ammamma veetil irukira," Dhanam replied. (Your Priyamma is at Ammamma's house)

Pooja ran across to her Ammamma's house, and into Priya's room to find the three sisters laughing together. "Priyamma!" She exclaimed jumping onto Priya's lap.

"Pooja kutty," Priya replied kissing Pooja's cheek.

"Hi Pooja kutty!" Vaishu says, pinching the kid's cheek.

"Enna Pooja kutty indaiku romba nalla mood la irukiru pola?" Kavitha asks, raising her eyebrow with a smile. (It seems like your in a really good mood today Pooja, what's special?)

"Hey! Arjun-da phone?" Priya questions, seeing the mobile, "avar final a kandupidichacha? How long did that take? One week?" She chuckles. (Did he finally realize? How long did that take? One week?"

"Aama, but that's not why I'm here! Paarungo wallpaper ah!" (Look at the wallpaper!) Pooja says, showing the phone to Priya.

Kavitha and Vaishu watch as their sister's face goes from surprised, to happy, to shyness. The blush that threatens to creeps up her cheeks don't go unnoticed by the two.

"Enna wallpaper Pooja kutty? Inga kaatungo," Kavitha asks confused. (What wallpaper Pooja Kutty? Can you show me too?)

"Sure Periyamma! Paarungo! First time, Appa put Priyamma as his wallpaper!" Pooja squeals, hanging the phone to Kavitha. (Paarungo! = Look!)

"Wow! Super Chechi! Looks like Mama is slowly falling in love!" Vaishu exclaims wagging her eyebrows.

"Slowly illa Vaishu, idhu eppaiyum irunda love thane? Right Pooja kutty?" Kavitha laughs.
(Not slowly Vaishu, this loce was always there right? Right Pooja kutty?)

Pooja giggles, looking at her Priyamma's rosy cheeks. "Aama Periyamma! Appa always loves Priyamma, aanal he pretends like he doesn't notice her because boys are dumb!"

"That's right! Boys are very dumb, and your Appa is the dumbest! He pretends like no one can see that he loves Priya! Even though everyone can tell!" Vaishu laughs.

"Vaishu Chitti you know, he even gave Priyamma a kiss once, but he lied saying it was because he made a bet that he'd kiss everyone!" Pooja giggles, making Priya's face go red.

"Pooja!" She stammers, avoiding her sisters' gaze. "That was supposed to be our secret!" She whines, softly hitting her arm.

"Ooh so Arjun already gave Priya a kiss huh? What else have they been hiding from us?" Kavitha asks accusingly.

"Is there anything else your Appa does for Priyamma?" Vaishu asks, trying to get more out of the little girl.

"Maybe they've gone further, how about all their date nights?" Kavitha whispers, earning a glare from Priya.

"Akka! Appadi ellam ondum illa!" Priya smiles trying to hide her blushing face behind her daughter. (Akka! There's nothing like that!)

"Poi sollrathu thappu indu neenga thaan sonninga Priyamma!" Pooja accuses, wagging her finger at her. "Appa loves you this much!" Pooja says, spreading her arms apart. (You're the one who told me that lying is bad Priyamma!)

Priya covers her face with her hands, as her sisters encourage Pooja to continue.

"Seri come fast Priyamma! Come talk to Appa before he leaves for work!" Pooja says, jumping down from the bed.

"Adhellam vendam Pooja, naan aproma Appa-kitta pesuren idhu pati, okay?" Priya says, not wanting to give her sisters any more space to tease her. (that's okay Pooja, I'll talk to Appa later about this, okay?)

"No! This is my order! Come and pesungo Priyamma!" She whines. (Pesungo = talk)

"Priyamma keta, Appa poi solluvar Pooja, athu ungaluku theriyatha?" Vaishu asks. (If Priyamma asks your Appa, he will lie about it, did u not know that?)

"Aama.." Pooja stops and thinks for a moment. "I have an idea! Amma come! Naan Appa-kita pesuren! Neenga hide panni kelunga!" She claps her hands and smiles. (I'll talk to Appa! You hide and hear what he says!)

"Awesome idea Pooja!" Kavitha gives her a high five. "Seri what are you waiting for Priya, go!"

"Akka," Priya tries to reason, but seeing the devilish smiles on the three of their faces made her realize that she was not going to win this fight no matter what. "Fine, Pooja kutty sonna padiya, naan varen, okay Pooja paati?" She smiles. (Fine, since Pooja kutty said so, I'll come, okay Pooja paati?)

"Yay! Good girl! Now come!" Pooja says, dragging Priya out.
