The Simplicity of Magic

Part 4

After what seems like an eternity, but is probably only a few minutes, the light starts to fade away and eventually disappears.

When i say disappears, i mean it literally just went away like someone turned the lights off.

" Finally, it took you two long enough." A friendly sounding voice says.

What? Someone was expecting us? I'm so confused right now.

" There only five minutes late Albert, you need to chill." Another voice says.

" Still, we need to fill another complaint to the board, the traffic just keeps getting worse and worse." The first voice, i'm pretty sure his name is Albert, says.

I am getting more and more confused by the second, what's traffic got to do with light?

" Dad, what is with you and this complaint? You keep talking about it, yet you haven't filed another one." A third voice that i'm pretty sure is female contributes.

My eyes finally adjust to the new lighting and i'm able to see the area around us.

Were in what looks kind of like a meadow, except it's not a normal meadow.

The grass is light blue and there's an array of brightly colored flowers. This meadow totally looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. I wouldn't be surprised if a unicorn just appears and starts dancing, okay fine, i'd probably be surprised, who wouldn't be?

But even though this place looks like every six year old's dream, it feels like there's a layer darkness in the air.

I know it sounds weird, but it's like used to feel as happy as it looks, but now it's like all that happiness has been replaced with sadness.

There's four people surrounding me and Archer, and two of them look like they could be related. Out of the five people, there's a girl who looks to be around our age. There all kind of just staring at us and it's starting to get kind of creepy.

" Don't you guys have something better to do other then staring at us?" I grumble.

The all stare at me with disbelief. I should probably work on thinking more before i speak, 'cause for all i know i could've just upset a bunch of weird elves.

 Oops.

Where are we anyway? And who are the people around us that keep staring like were their there favorite reality show?

" Oh silly me! We forgot to introduce ourselves, no wonder you look so confused." Someone says.

Yea, i'm only confused because i don't know that names of these people. Note the sarcasm.

" Dad, do you really think that she's confused because she doesn't know our names?" The girl asks.

" Of Course! " The  first person replies.

" Did you ever think that she might be confused because she was in and Earth forest and now she's here?" The girl questions.

" Well, not really." The guy respond, " But introductions would be nice anyway, so let's start with those."

" K, i'm Simone and the guy that i was talking to over there is my dad." The girl says, pointing at the person who she was talking to.

" Miranda, it's a pleasure to finally meet you." a woman informs me.

" Welcome Camille and Archer, i'm Jonathan but everyone calls me John." Another guy tells us.

" And last but not least, i'm Albert and we all welcome you with open arms to your new home!" The first guy, Albert says.

Wait, i'm even more confused now. What does he mean by our new home?
