The Simplicity of Magic

Part 7

For the past two weeks me and Archer have been training every day with Simone and Noah. When i say training your probably assuming that it has something to do with fighting, and it kind of does, just probably not in the sense your thinking. When i say training i mean element training, on the second day me and Archer were able to discover what elements we originate from. Archer's element is wind, so a part of his soul is from Vento's island. This whole thing is still really confusing, and it didn't help when i found out that i have two elemental guardians, Chama and Sombra. Fire and Darkness, i don't really get how it's possible seeing as the two are opposites, but somehow it is. Albert said that it's like there's two girls in my mind guiding me through learning the powers of fire and darkness which is why instead of just saying elements, he says elemental guardians or teachers. Albert also said that he's never heard of someone with two elements before. Yea, non- of this really makes sense to me either.

 Today's the day that were finally carrying out with the plan. While me, Simone, Archer, and Noah have been training, the adults have been working on plans B and C.  I'm definitely scared, but i'm also kind of excited at the same time, i know that what were doing is dangerous, but for some reason i think that reality hasn't hit me yet.

" You ready Camille?" Simone asks me.

" Ready as i'll ever be." I say, lacing up my boots and grabbing my jacket. Me and Simone are wearing black t-shirts, black leggings, combat boots, and a black jacket,  i feel like i'm about to rob a bank because of our outfits. The boys are wearing pretty much the same thing as us, except they have cargo pants instead off leggings. 

" K then, let's get going!" Noah says enthusiastically.

" Lead the way, we're right behind you." Archer tells him.

" You guys remember the plan?" Simone asks us.

We all nod our heads in response.

" Good." She responds.

" Kids, there's been a change in plans." Albert says, entering the room, " We can't come with you anymore, something happened and we need to take care of it or else this entire mission could crumble. "

" What?!" Me, Archer, Simone, and Noah say at the exact same time.

" So it's just going to be us?" Archer asks for clarification.

" Yes, i'm sorry that we didn't tell you guys about this earlier, we didn't think that it was that big of a deal at first, but then something else happened." Albert informs us.

" But how are we supposed to this by ourselves? It's going to be King Davis and his entire army versus four thirteen year olds." Noah says.

" If all goes well then there shouldn't be any fighting involved, and i know that you four are capable of handling yourselves. I know that Archer and Camille have only been training for a couple weeks, but in those weeks i've seen a lot of progress. If we didn't think that you guys were ready then you wouldn't be doing this." 

" Don't we need to change the plan now that you guys aren't coming?" Simone asks.

" Not really, the only thing that's changed is that the adults aren't coming with you anymore. The plan was mostly reliant on you four anyway, so it's not going to change as much as you think." Albert responds.

" Wait, how are we supposed to get there? None of us are old enough to ride the light alone." Noah asks.

" We were never going to take the light way in the first place, King Davis can track it and there isn't a path leading to where you need to go anyway." Albert informs us, " And since the vault seems to move, i'm going to need you guys to track and find it. I have a stone that will take you to the vaults last known location, but i'm almost 100% sure that walking will be involved. Now, you kids should really get going or else we're going to fall behind schedule." 

" Okay, so basically we're going to use these random stones that will teleport us to who knows where, try to find and unlock the vault, hope not to get caught, and try not to die. Got it." Noah says sarcastically.

" Good, now you guys seriously have to get going." Albert replies, not understanding that Noah was being sarcastic.

We all nod our heads and Albert hands us each a stone.

" Remember to stick to the plan." Albert reminds us before leaving the room.

" You guys ready?" Simone asks.

Me, Archer, and Noah nod our heads.

" Then let's go." She says before whispering something to the stone.

Before i can ask what she said to it, we're whisked away by winds that appear out of nowhere.
