The Simplicity of Magic

Part 1

The day started out pretty normal for Archer and Camille Davis, they were in yet another foster home and their " parents" had to go to work early, leaving Camille and Archer unattended.

 But today was going to be different, today was the day that they were finally going to escape the system and be on there own. 

They knew that it was going to be hard, not having any adults to depend on for food and shelter, but Camille and Archer had confidence in themselves.

However, they never would have imagined or even dreamed about what was actually going to happen that day.

 Animals, creatures, and people that are only supposed to be alive in myths and legends had found earth, and they were looking for someone.

 The person that could change everything.

Camille Davis.

Camille's life was never easy nor simple, but it was definitely about to get a lot more complicated.

You see, Camille and Archer's dad had many secrets that he never told anyone, and all those secrets were kept in a well-protected chamber that only their dad knew how to get to.

 But he made one mistake while he was constructing this chamber, he may be the only one who could find it, but he wasn't the only one that could unlock it.

 Somehow the information that he wasn't the only one with access got out and since some of these secrets are a matter of life and death, certain people will not rest until the other person who has access to these secrets is found.

 Now back to the present time with Archer and Camille.

" ARCHER WILLIAM DAVIS! I SWEAR IF THIS HAPPENS ONE MORE TIME, YOU ARE SO DEAD!"

And that my friends was our dear Camille, yelling at her brother for yet another one of his pranks.

" What did i do?" Archer asks her, trying to hide his smile behind a look of fake innocence.

" You know very well what you did, don't think that i can't see the smile your trying to hide right now!" Camille replies. 

 " So? You don't have any proof that it was me." Archer responds with a smug look on his face.

" Archer, you literally hide a ton of pictures of YOUR face all over my room, and you didn't even do a good job hiding them!" Camille yells.

 " Exactly, why would i want to hide my beautiful face?" Archer states.

" Your impossible " Camile grumbles.

 " Impossibly awesome is more like it." Archer tells her. 

" Really Archer? That was all you could come up with? You've already used that response two times today." Camille informs him. 

" Hey!" Archer protests, " I only say it because it's true!"

" We all know that it's not, but you do you. Anyway, better get going, i don't know when there going to come back." Camille says while slipping on her shoes.

 " Okay, okay, i'm coming." Archer replies while grabbing his backpack and putting it on. " You ready?" Camille asks him. 

" Yep." He tells her.

 " Good, now let's go before the get here. I don't really feel like explaining why we trying to run away to Mr. and Mrs. Garcia." Camille responds.

" I second that." Archer tells her as they start walking. 

They had no clue where they were going to go or what they were going to do, but at least they were going to be in it together.
