As i predicted, King Davis din't let us leave our room for the first week and a half. During that week and a half me and Noah have spent a lot of time worrying about about Archer and Simone. Knowing King Davis, i had a feeling that their living conditions aren't exactly pleasant. After keeping us cooped up in our room for long enough, King Davis decided that we should start training. Me and Noah's training was run by one of King Davis's officials and it wasn't that much different from the training that i did with Albert. The only difference was that you kept doing it until you do it right, it doesn't matter how tired you are.

Me and Noah have been here for a total of five weeks, not that long in the grand scheme of things, but the longest time that either of us have gone without seeing our siblings.

" HURRY UP MARTHA!" Someone yells from right outside our door, " THERE'S A LITERAL WAR GOING ON RIGHT NOW! IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU DON'T HAVE MAKEUP ON RIGHT NOW!"

" THE MORE YOU YELL, THE SLOWER I WILL GO!" Another voice yells in reply.

Right after the voice finishes destroying my eardrums, i hear an explosion close by. What's happening? I run over to to open the door, but it's locked. Then i hear what sounds like gunshots coming from the room next to us.

" Camille, what's going on?" Noah asks, coming out of the bathroom.

" I don't know." I reply, " But it can't be good."

" We have to get out of here, i'd rather not stick around to figure out whats happening." Noah says.

" I'd love to get out of here as well, but the doors locked." I tell him.

" Can't you just burn it down or something?" He wonders

" Not unless i want to set the building on fire." I respond.

" Then i guess we're just going to have to do this the old fashioned way." He says, walking over to the door.

Before i can ask what he's doing, i hear wood splintering as Noah knocks the door down. But not long after we exit our room, i hear more explosions and gunshots, and they sound a lot closer this time. All the sudden bright white light fills the room, but the light quickly turns red, then yellow, then green, then blue. Then what looks like a snake comes down the hallway, eating the light. As the snake slithers past us it hisses, " Run."

Pretty sure that's what were doing. I want to say, but the snake's already gone.

" We have to be quiet." Noah mouths.

I nod my head in response and keep on walking towards the door at the end of the hall. I'm pretty sure that it's the door leading back into the throne room which good either be a good or bad thing. Good because if no one or a few people are there then it should be an easier escape, bad because if there are a lot of people then we're as good as dead. Fortunately, luck is on our side. The throne room is empty and the castle doors are wide open. We quickly make our way across the room and out the doors, into the outside world. Once we're outside i realize just how great it feels to be outdoors again. But my slight moment of happiness is disrupted when i hear a scream.

" PLEASE! I'LL DO ANYTHING!" A voice begs.

" Shut up. My eardrums have already suffered enough." A gruff voice that sounds an awful lot like my father says. Wait, i'm pretty sure that is my father. What's he doing? Never mind, i'd rather not know considering that it's probably not good.

" That way." Noah whispers, pointing to a heavily wooded area, " Once we get far enough away then we can ride the shadows to a secret location."

" Why shadows? I thought that you guys used light as transportation." I reply in a hushed tone.

" We do, but light can be traced and shadows can't." Noah tells me.
