Epilogue: part 6

Eva's POV:

It has been three days since the doctor told us that Sebastian has been making great progress. I was told that I could go home two days ago however, I had a choice to stay until Seb was well enough to go home. I decided to stay, seeing as it hopefully wouldn't be too long until he could come home too.

"Hey", I say as I walk into the hospital room, seeing Ale laying on the bed.

"Hey", he sits up as I lay next to him.

"Good morning, is this a good time?" The doctor walks in. "I have some great news. You can take Sebastian home", she smiles.

"What? Really?" Ale looks between me and the doctor.

"Can I hold him?" I almost whisper.

"Yes, come with me", she begins to walk out of the room. I jump up almost instantly, following her out the door. We walk into the baby room and she picks up Seb, handing him over to me.

"Hi", I whisper. Suddenly, I feel hand wrapping around my waist from behind.

"Hi", Ale whispers behind me. I chuckle, wiping the tears that fall.

Ale and I finally get home after a few hours of final checks in the hospital. We texted everyone, telling them what happened and that were coming home.

I go to unlock the door while Ale is holding Seb however, it's already unlocked. "Did you forget to lock the door?" I ask him.

"I don't think so".

I open the door and all the lights are off. "Surprise!" The lights turn on and everyone jumps out.

"Oh my god", I hug Honey and Rayyan, then the boys, then my friends from work and college. "Who set this up?" I ask, sitting on the couch as everyone takes turns in holding Seb.

"We all did really. But it was the girls' idea", Kairi answers.

"Thank you", I say as I hug them all again.

"Wait, how did you get in?"

"I may have stolen the spare key from your purse while you were asleep", Honey says, sheepishly.

*two weeks later*

Ale and I have not had any sleep for the past two weeks. Sebastian would cry almost all night, and sleep for around three to four hours at a time. It's currently 12:47pm and Rayyan and Honey are coming to watch Sebastian while Alejandro and I take a nap.

I look to my right as Alejandro groans. "I never knew how excited I would be to take a nap", he says as he gets up to open the door.

"Hey", I yawn as I take Seb into the living room. "The diapers are in this bag, his toys.. well, there they are", I gesture to the floor. "And the powder for the milk is in the kitchen, just add water-".

"Relax", Rayyan cuts me off. "Go to bed, I can already hear Ale snoring", she chuckles. I make my way to our room and lay on the bed, instantly falling asleep.

A/n: okay okay wait. yes, this is so short and it's been like two months buttt.. I'm determined to actually finish a book for once (and so I can just work on my new book, if you want to read it, pls do :p) the next chapter will probably be the last but I'm going to write it now :).
