8. Butterfly Mansion

It’s been a few weeks since I last saw Muichiro. I was currently walking back from another mission, and heading to the Butterfly Mansion. Shinobu said something about me needing to get a checkup. My fingers do feel a bit sore anyways, maybe she has something for that.

 Walking inside the mansion, I was greeted by those butterfly girls running all around me. “(Y/N) is back!!!” they sang, pulling me into the room Shinobu is in.

 “Ara, you seem popular right now, huh?” Shinobu teased, patting the bed she was standing in front of. I rubbed the back of my neck and sweat a bit.

 “Ehh, so what is this checkup about? Am I going to have to wait a while to go on my next mission after this? Will I be able to leave right away? When can I go? Are you gonna use a needle? Will this hurt? PLEASE DON’T MAKE ME DRINK ANYTHING-“ before I made Shinobu explode from all my questions, she put her hand over my mouth, and pulled me onto the bed.

 “Just sit down, a checkup is simple. And yes, you’ll be able to go on another mission if nothing seems wrong with you,” she stopped for a moment before smiling a bit more, “Geez, you seem like a louder version of Giyuu wanting to leave as soon as possible,” she giggled, turning around to get the things she needs.

 I groaned at the statement, bringing my back down onto the bed. I’ve been on mission after mission, I’m not trying to get behind, I need to do my part as a Pillar.

  Shinobu continued to ask questions about my health, and if I needed anything for my body, or if I felt a bit sick lately. I told her about my sore hands, and she seemed to have an idea of what I could use for them, leaving the room.

 I waited in the room for about ten minutes now, Shinobu did say it was going to take a while. I might as well do something other than sit on a bed. What should I do???

 Before thinking of ideas that might end up having the Butterfly Estate set on fire, a girl peeked her head into the door.

 She had a side ponytail, with gentle, pink eyes. Wasn’t her name Kanao?? She was around my age! Maybe I could bring up a conversation with her!!

 I ran up to her, startling her a tiny bit, giving her a bright smile, “Hi! I’m (Y/N) (L/N)! Do ya want to be friends?! You seem really cute, and nice! Plus, you know Shinobu well, so you must be really strong!”

 She didn’t say anything, but she did pull out a coin. Before I asked why she pulled it out, she flipped it. She looked up at me, smiled, and started to walk away.

 WHAT?!!?!?

“HEY! WHERE YOU GOING KANAO?!”

 She didn’t answer. WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?!

 I was going to chase after her, but I was interrupted by a familiar voice.

 “It seems that you bother everyone on sight, just when I thought you couldn’t get any worse,” My eyes widened, turning to my left,

 “MUICHIRO?!”

 “Yes, that’s my name, keep it down, people are trying to rest,” he scolded me, turning around to leave.

 “Wait what are you doing here?! Did the great and powerful Mist Hashira get injured~?” teasing him, waiting for a response. He didn’t bother to turn back,
