The Time Hole spits out the quartet in the underground basement of the castle.
Mario: Oh.
Meggy: Oof, we got spat out here.
Mario: Let's go back up. Might be wise to speak to E. Gadd before going to Shroob Castle.
Meggy: Right. Let's go.
Mario and Meggy go back to the first floor of the castle, and theh go meet E. Gadd in the same place he was before.
Mario: Yo!
Meggy: E. Gadd! We're finally back!
E. Gadd: ! Hey, now! Back at last! You've collected quite a few Colbat Star shards now, haven't you, fellers?
Stuffwell jumps out of Mario's pocket and show E. Gadd.
E. Gadd: Why, you've got five of the Colbat Star shards! There's only one more to go!
Mario: *Smiles*
Meggy: *Giggles*
Stuffwell: Professor! We have data! About that Colbat Star... It appears to have the power to remove the barrier from the past castle!
Meggy: Yep!
Mario: Oh yeah!
E. Gadd: Hmm... How'd you come up with that conclusion? I mean, unless the Colbat Star itself told you...
Stuffwell: It DID! The spirit of the star materialated before us and gave us that very information!
E. Gadd: *Clearly confused but hides it* ...I see... Well, if you got it straight from the star's mouth, it's probably accurate.
Toad: The end's in sight, guys! We'll think good thoughts until you're all safely back here!
Mario: Mmhmm!
Meggy: Okie!
E. Gadd: The Time Hole to the past castle is on the third floor, fellers. You stay out of trouble, now!
Mario: We can't promise that.
Meggy: *Elbows Mario*
E. Gadd: ...Although, I guess that's not really an option at this point...
Mario: See? Exactly.
Meggy: *Rolls her eyes and giggles*
Mario: Let's-a go!
Meggy: Mmhmm!
The adults pick the babies up on their backs and go all the way up to the third floor.
Mario: ...Here it is...
Meggy: The Time Hole...
Mario and Meggy walk into the main room, where the Time Hole has light shining out of it, along with lightning crackling inside it.
Mario: Yep, that's definitely we need.
Meggy: It's time to take this fight to Princess Shroob...
Mario: Princess Peach... We're coming... We will rescue you and save the kingdom...
Meggy: Princess Shroob... You will be defeated...
The couple takes a few deep breaths, then they jump into the Time Hole. It glows bright as it swallows the quartet.

(...The end is near... Time to take the fight to Shroob Castle... They're coming for you, Princess Shroob...)
