A New Quest

Part 5

Lucy's POV

I wake up with a jolt as I feel the Argo shift by a wave crashing to the side. But that might not be the reason why I woke up. I hear a scream on the upper deck and rush out of bed and my room realizing that I only have a large blue t-shirt on and underwear. I'm not wearing any pants or shoes. But there is not time.
I get to the upper deck to see Leo, Jason, and Annabeth fighting a.... well I wasn't sure what they were. Sea monsters?
They were green, had gills on the side of their necks. Seaweed was wrapped around them like clothing and had webbed feet but normal hands. And welded a weapon something similar to a trident.
Good thing I sleep with my ring and bracket on. I though and pressed the top of my ring and a sword extended out from it in my hand and I joined the fight.
I immediately cut one of the monsters down with my sword and the body turned into water.
"What are they?" I ask blocking an attack with my sword.
"I don't know." Jason said in between attacks.
"They came out of the water." Leo said as he torched one and it screamed so loud it hurt my ears.
I guess that's the scream that woke me up in the middle of the night.
"Where's Percy when you need him?" Jason says as he pushes one of the monsters off his back.
"You called?" Percy asks as he emerges from the staircase with Annabeth and Nico.
"More keep coming." I add as I use my sword to slice down 2 more monsters that were trying to get over the edge of the Argo.
"I'm in it!" Percy says as he runs to the edge to jump over but gets knocked over by on of the monsters weapons and falls hard in the deck.
"Oh great." Annabeth says as she fight her way to Percy's unconscious body.
"Why does someone always gets knocked out?" Leo says through a fireball to cover Annabeth and Percy.
"Hey! It wasn't me this time!" Jason says with a smile and blocks an attack.
"Can we focus on the fight?" Nico says as he blocks the staircase so none of the monsters get to Will or Piper I'm assuming.
"Leo look out!" I say as one of the monsters grabs him by the back of his shirt and takes him over the edge and into the water. I hold out my hand to grab him but he was just out of my reach.
"Percy!" I say but he's still unconscious as Annabeth protects him from the monsters.

I don't even think. I immediately run and dive over the edge into that water. I swim quickly to Leo and the sea monster that took him. I swing my sword but the monster blocks it with the trident his other hand while the other still has a grin on Leo who is no longer breathing from being in the water too long. A normal person wouldn't be able to hold their breath for this long under water. Must have been 6 minutes at least. Good thing I can breath under water.
I swing my sword again and manage to cut the monsters arm that was holding onto Leo and it makes a very loud screech and swims away.
I make an air bubble around Leo and I so he can breath.
"Leo..?" I quietly say as I hold on to him so he doesn't slip away in the current.
He makes a small groan. Good he's breathing again.
As I swim back to the surface all of the monsters dive into the water and swim to the depths that I can no longer see them. None of them are trying to attach Leo and I. It's almost like they are fleeing in fear.
We break through the surface and I control the water to lift us up to the edge of the ship since it was about 8 feet above us.
I place Leo on the deck who then wakes up gasping for air.
"How did you...." Annabeth says in shock staring at me.
I look behind her to see Will healing Percy's head and he wakes up.
"You were both under the water for a good 10 minutes. How did you not drown?" Jason questions.
I sit there quietly checking on Leo. Trying to avoid the question.
"Thank you." Leo says as he opens his eyes. I sigh in relief that he's okay.
"Answer the question. How did you use the water to get onto the Argo?" Annabeth says crossing her arms.
"I guess I need to tell you all something." I say and stand up.

-In the dinning hall-

We all sit down at the table with towels around ourselves since we were soaking wet from fight the monsters.
"No one is going to question why or what we just fought?" I question hoping to change the subject but it didn't work.
"That's nothing new. Spill it." Jason says with a glare.
I take a deep breath and began to explain everything.
"A godly parent isn't a child who is born with extreme gifts or powers as their godly parent.
Well.. they are very strong to the normal half blood but that's not the only thing.... A godly child is someone who has 2 godly parents." I say and pause.
Everyone is staring at me wide eyes and jaws open.
"So if your mother is Hecate then your father is-" Annabeth says but Percy cuts her off.
"Poseidon. Your father is Poseidon. That's why I felt a connection to you. And your eyes are sea green. I knew there was something happening with you and Blackjack; you could understand him." Percy said quickly. I can see the gears spinning in his head.
"Yes. To be a godly child is even more prohibited then being born from in of the big three. That's why I never left Camp Halfblood. My parents wanted to keep me hidden. Away from monsters.. away from the other gods." I say and look down.
"Away from Zeus and Hera." Jason says and I nod.
"They almost killed Percy. Imagine what they would do if they found out about me? That's why I wan never allowed to leave camp, go in the lake, or even use any gifts from Poseidon. They would have sensed me. Only Chrion new the truth and agreed to hide me in the big house." I say.
"That's why I don't recognize you. You weren't even allowed to leave the house?" Annabeth says and I nod in agreement.
"Wow. And here I though it would be awesome to have so many gifts but it sounds very lonely." Piper says.
"I'm so sorry you had to hide." Percy says as he walks over and give me a hug. I can finally say I have a big brother. I thought as I hugged him back.
"We should all go back to bed and get some sleep. We should be reaching Paris by the afternoon." Annabeth says.
We all get up and walk towards are rooms.
I'm about to open my door as someone walks up behind me. I turn around to see Piper and Annabeth.
"If you ever need to talk we are here." They say and give me a group hug.
"Thank you." I say and hug them back.
I go back into my room and change my clothes while I realize I'm still not wearing any pants...

Well, there you have it. Lucy's big secret; daughter of Hecate and Poseidon. Even if this is not actually legit in mythology because they are related somehow it is happening here 😂
