A New Quest

Part 7

Lucy's POV

As the Argo starts to take off everyone goes there separate ways.. most liking to their room or the dinning hall. I of course stay on the upper deck looking over the edge.
"It will take us about 24 hours to arrive at Greece." Leo says as we start to leave Paris.
Leo says as he walks towards me from steering the Argo into the correct direction.
"First Paris, now Greece." I say still looking over the edge.
"You really are seeing the world now aren't you." He says and leans against the edge with his back beside me.
"I guess I am." I say with a smile.
"Listen, about the other day with the sea monsters... thank you." He says with his face going red.
"You would've done the same for me. Like how thoughtful you were about the idea of me riding Blackjack." I say and look at him with a smile. He really is cute in his own way the way his dark curly hair flies in the wind.
"You knew that was me?" He says without looking at me but his face getting redder by the second.
"Yes. Thank you for that." I say as I stand up straight and give him a hug.
I feel his arms wrap around my waist as mine are wrapped around his neck. I never realized until now how he is almost a head taller then me.
We break apart in awkward silence. I go back to leaning on the edge but still looking at him. His face isn't as red anymore.
"Maybe after this quest is over we can take the Argo to more places you want to visit." He says with a smile as he rubs the back of his head.
"That would be amazing." I say.
"So, where would you want to go first?" He asks.
"To a beach, then maybe the mountains." I say looking over the edge at the view.
"To the beach it is." He says.
I look behind me to see Piper giggling with Will, almost fangirling at the fact that me and Leo are talking. I walk over to them after I excuse myself from Leo.
"Hey guys. What's so funny?" I say sarcastically.
"Nothing." They say together.
"Really.." I say glaring at them.
"You guys are sooo cute." Piper adds with a smile.
"We are just friends." I say.
"For now." Will says.
"I've known him for what, 3 days since we started this quest. Besides, I've never really had friends never mind a boyfriend. I don't even know how to be one." I say and look down.
"You are a pretty good friend so far. And how you saved Leo yesterday was amazing. Not many friends would risk their lives or a secret they were forbidden to tell anyone." Piper says as puts a hand on my arm to comfort me.
I look up at her and smile.

With that I walk back to my room to get some rest. Hoping I don't wake up to another attack.

~Later that evening~

I wake up later the evening to see that the sun has set and the sky is full of stars. I walk out of my room to go into the dinning hall to get some supper. To my surprise the room was empty. I sit down at the table with an empty plate and my favourite dish appeared; Alfredo with garlic bread.
I quickly eat it as my stomach grumbles. I place my dish in the sink and head out to the hallway where I don't hear a single noise but the wind from the upper deck.
I guess everyone is sleeping. Might be later then I thought it was.
I walk up the step to the deck if the Argo to see the sky full of stars. I lay down in the middle of the deck on the wooden planked floor and just watch the stars.
After awhile I get up and head back to my room to get some more rest. Tomorrow's going to be a big day.

~Next morning~

I wake up to the sun light piercing through my window. I get up and change into new clothes and head out of my room to the dinning hall to see Annabeth, Piper, Will and Leo sitting around the table.
"At this rate the other will never get up." Annabeth says in frustration.
"Relax wise girl." Percy says and he, Jason, and Nico walk into the room.
"We are almost at Greece and need a plan." Annabeth says and they take their seats.
"To start, do we even know where the fighting is happening?" I ask.
"We were thinking in Athens because it's the Capital city. But not sure where to be exact." Piper adds.
"Why don't we split up into groups and search the city. Keep your eyes and ears open for any suspicious monsters and activities." Jason says.
"That's a little dangerous. Will adds.
"It's the best plan we have until we find out where the fighting. Is taking place." Jason says and we nod in agreement.
"Okay, there are 8 of us so I guess we go in groups of two and we do not engage the monsters or the fighting until we locate it, meet back here for a better plan. Annabeth says.
"Okay. Percy and Annabeth, you search the North. Nico and Will, search the east. Leo and Lucy, search the west. Piper and I will search the south part of the city. And we will meet back here is a few hours. Whether we find something or not." Jason says and we break off into our groups and head down into the city since the Argo needs to stay in the air where it will not be seen.
