A New Quest

Part 11

Lucy's POV

Jason, Piper, Percy and Annabeth. Finally come running up the stairs asking what happened. Will fills them in as the stand guard waiting for the dragon to reappear. Abd of course it did. The dragon flew out of the water and attacked again but the 4 other then are able to keep it at bay while Nico, Will and I heal Leo.
"You can't die on me. Wake up!" I say in agony between my chants. "Please don't leave. We make our own destiny." I say and start chanting. I take one of my hands and hold it my chest. As I take my hand away a red light; my fire, flows out of me and into Leo.
"Lucy.. you can't." Will starts to say.
"I have to." I say and continue to chant as the red light keeps flowing.
Leo's wound finally starts to close and the blood stops.
Nico and I stop chanting and Will takes his hands away to show that he was completely healed.
Leo takes a deep breath and walks up with a jolt.
"Ahhh what happened?" He says shakily and sits up.
"You're okay." I say in excitement and grab his face as I press my lips to his. I feel him kiss me back and I pull away. His face is pitched red.
"Wait. Was there really a dragon?" He asks remembering what happened.
"Yes. Let's take care of that." I say angrily and stand up. I can feel myself getting weaker since I have a part of my life to Leo and used up a lot of my magic with that spell. But I can't stop yet.
I run up beside Jason as he stands guard waiting for another attack.
"When the dragon gets close enough I need your help. I need you to use your powers and fling me up high enough so I'm over top of it." I say getting ready as the dragon flies towards us.
"Are you crazy?" He asks.
"Possibly. Ready... now!" I say and feel the wind lift me up high enough just as the dragon flies over the Argo to make another fire attack. As I fall I land on top of the dragon causing it to thrash and fly straight up in the air.
I click my ring and my sword appears. I pierce the blade through the dragons thick scales on its back and makes a loud roar from the pain.
I push my sword deeper into the dragons back causing it to roar again.
I take out my sword, clicked it and it turned back into my ring.
As the dragon is falling from the sky towards the water I push myself off of it I to the sky so we both fall separately into the water.
I swim up to the surface and bend the water to lift me onto the ship keeping myself dry.
"I can't believe that worked." I said in relief.
"You're crazy." Leo says and kisses my cheek.
"Wait when did this happen...?" Percy asked confused.
"Don't worry about it." Piper says laughing because she knew the whole time about our feelings.
"Let's hurry and get back to camp. I don't need anyone else to almost die." Annabeth says with a laugh.
"You're right. Because the quest isn't over until we get back." I say.

We all head down the stairs beneath the deck and head to our rooms...

~~ next morning~~~

We finally arrived back at camp without anymore attacks from monsters or dragons.
We all exit the Argo near the strawberry field and see Chiron waiting anxiously.
"You're all here and alive. But the prophecy.." he trails off and is cut off by me.
"We make our own destiny. No prophecy will tell us how a quest should go." I say and start walking towards the big house.
"That's never happened before." He says behind me.
"There's a first time for everything I guess Annabeth says with a smile.
Everyone walked their separate ways to their cabins to unpack and relax.
Chiron gallops you behind me with Percy.
"How would you like to stay in the Poseidon Cabin?" Chiron asks.
"Really?" I say excitedly.
"Yea. I don't think you need to hide in the big house anymore." He says with a smile.
"You wouldn't mind?" I ask Percy.
"Not at all. I'm only here during the summer anyway." He says and I give him a hug.
"This will be so much fun! I need to go get my things." I say and rush to my room in the big house.
This is the start of a new life, with new friends.
