Largely Submissive

Chapter 8

Gavin's POV

I was going to court him. Watching him, I do not know how I went so long without realizing what was right in front of me. Literally. He was one beautiful man. And I know he would make a gorgeous submissive. Hell, he wasn't even my submissive yet but seemed to have no issue following my command. I glanced over and watched him slowly make his way back to his post at the stairs. He did not look okay. I wish there was something I could do for him, some way to get him to open up to me but I knew that we were nowhere close enough for that. Yet.

I smiled to myself, at least I had his number now. After one more glance his way I made my way back to the staff area and up the slightly hidden staircase to Graham's office. Without knocking I made my way into his office and sat at one of the chairs in front of his desk. I gave him a cheeky smile in response to his glare.

"You are 28 years old and still refuse to knock before entering my office, you brat." Graham grumbled at me.

"I'm sorry, what's 'knocking'?" I teased putting quotes on the last word. Graham just rolled his eyes at me making me chuckle.

"Anyway, big bro, the club is pretty much ready to go. Everyone's all set and in their places. I know we still have another 20 minutes till opening so everything should go smoothly."

"Okay good. Thanks for coming in and working. With Damien performing and Greg out of commission we're a little low on manpower right now. Especially since I had to fire Tony after last week's incident." Graham sighed. I snorted and shook my head. New bouncer Tony let people trick and bribe him into breaking the rules and letting anyone and everyone in. Including those listed on the very serious banned list.

"I used to work here for 4 years big bro, it's no big deal. You know I don't mind helping out." He smiled at that.

"Alright, fair enough." He said putting his hands up. I rolled my eyes at his antics and shifted back into my seat.

"So, tell me, what do you know about your bouncer, Cameron?" I question. Graham raised an eyebrow and that and leaned back in his chair rubbing his beard absent-mindedly.

He squinted at me. "Why?" I laughed at that.

"Jeez, G, I'm just curious," I said, defending myself. "He seems a bit off today, I didn't know if you might know the cause?"

He sighed. "Well, I really don't know much about the man. I mean shit, he's been working for me for over three years now and I know very basic information. He's 27, and as far as I know he's in college or never finished his degree."

"Still?" I interrupted. It's a bit odd for someone of that age to still be attending school. Unless he was going for a Master's.

"Yeah, from what I can tell he didn't start college until he was 25, though I have no idea why. I mean from the basic background check all the workers go through I know he doesn't have a criminal background and has passed all the drug tests administered throughout the years."

"Do you know what he's going to school for?"

"No, I honestly don't. I never asked..." I raised my eyebrow at that but said nothing.

After a short pause he continued. "He's a great worker. He always shows up to his shifts, on time I might add. He's never declined a request for covering a shift whether it be by me or one of the other bouncers. He's very sweet and soft spoken. I don't think I've ever seen him even remotely angry. Oh, and obviously he's a submissive. I'm not sure who trained him though, he was already trained by the time he got here."

"Hm, interesting," I answered distractedly. This conversation definitely wasn't as useful as I was hoping it would be. He snorted at me.

"Showing an interest in the boy, hey?" I looked up at that.

"He intrigues me, yes. I will figure him out." I stated. Graham scoffed at that.

"Now, if you're just looking for something to distract you, dear brother, turn the other way. I may not know him as well as I would like, but Cameron is fragile, that much is a given. I'm not going to sit here and let you break him."

"Wow, you think so lowly of me? Um, rude. No, I'm interested in getting to know him, and yes I wouldn't mind entering a contract with him." My brother just stared at me.

"Shut the front door, did you just say what I think you just said?"

"You're being dramatic, Graham."

"Me? Why I never!" He cried dramatically, with an over exaggerated southern accent, pressing his hand to his chest. I rolled my eyes. Right.

"Shut up. Dick. You're so fuckin' gay."

He laughed at that. "Well, can you blame me? I've never seen you this interested in a sub, let alone mention anything about a contract! I'm excited, my little baby brother is finally growing up." He said while sniffling and brushing a nonexistent tear away. I groaned in annoyance and got up.

"Ugh, you're the worst, this is why I'm mom's favorite. Now, if you'll excuse me, someone around here should be doing some work."

"Hey! You are so not mom's favorite!" Before he could finish whatever else he was going to say I flipped him off and left his office, closing the door behind me. I could hear him cackling like a god damn witch as I walked down the hall back to the staircase. Sometimes I wondered if he was dropped on his head as a baby. For being the older brother he sure as hell didn't act like it.

I made my way back to the main area and watched as people started to flood in. Glancing over the crowd my eyes landed on Cameron. I had to admit, if I didn't know he was a submissive I would definitely assume the opposite. I don't know how he does it but he managed to look both disinterested and alert. Well, and very attractive. I watched as he ran a hand through his hair, and then gathered it all together and put it up into a quick messy bun. Holy shit, somehow he became about 110% more attractive. Needing the distraction, I turned away from the beauty and made my way to the bar to check on Becky and the other workers.
