~Convention~

You help pick up messes from Varian as he works on a new machine for the competition

"This machine is my best work! It's for sure gonna get the judges attention!" Varian says smiles as he looks over to see you not listening

He sighs grabbing a glass container and dropping it, you walk over and bend down to sweep the mess

"This will change everything, and with the new element I will create I'll for sure get 1st!!~" Varian says bending down to rub your hair

"And with my lovely assistances help~ we'll make a difference, isn't that right y/n?"

You freeze up rubbing your neck "about that..... Well captain wanted me to help set everything up for the convention, so I can't help...."

He freezes up and grabs your shoulders "What!!!! B-but we've planed this since we where little! C-cant you ask for a day off?!"

"I can't Varian... This is very important for people so I need to help set everything, plus I owe it to captain for not telling the queen and king I'm an orphan"

Varian scoffs "your not an orphan, your apart of my family! A-And you've been working your butt off for all of the shops in Corona!"

You smile kissing his cheek as you put the glass in the trash "I know but you wouldn't want the convention to not start because of some undone streamers, I'm doing this for us Varian, I'm sure I can find a way to help you when the time comes"

He sighs nodding as you hug him tight "that's my Varian... Now I need to get going, you promise not to make a fuse over this?"

Varian grumbles nodding as you smile running out the door, he slumps on the floor sad as he looks at him machine

He didn't understand why you where working at Coronas shops when theres many here, he didn't understand why you couldn't just stay here and help around..

Varians eyes widen as he thinks of a plan, he gets off the floor and adds something to the machine smiling

"This will make her amazed..."

Cass complains as you help her with the flyer, she ties it saying science is for dorks

"Um.. you do know I like science experiments right? So your basically making fun of m-"

You don't get to finish as you here someone calling your name, you look down to see Varian waving

"Y/n~ looking good as ever, Cassie"

Cassandra groans "um yeah it's Cassandra not cassie.... And hi Varian, come to stalk y/n?"

"Nope~ not right now! But you guys wanna see my new invention? I hear it's a 1st prize winner, I made up the rumor~"

You laugh as Cass grumbles something under her breath, a guard comes and get Cassandra

"Be right back, take my job while I'm gone okay" she says before jumping off the latter making you almost fall

Varian sees this and climbs up grabbing you "woah.... That was a close one"

"S-sure was, thanks sweet pea" you say smiling as you hear Rapunzel down below

"Varian, y/n! It's so nice to see you two again!"

You both go down the latter smiling as her and Eugene wave, Rapunzel runs up and hugs you

"Oh it's nice to see you two, last time we saw you your invention almost killed us, and looks like your here with another I invention"

"Please, we wouldn't miss the chance to talk about alchemy, I know everyone's gonna be excited about this invention"
