You quickly grab rodigur before he knocks over Varians invention, the fat raccoon cooing before running off

It's been the worst eight days of your life.... With the big fight you and Varian worsening everytime you step into the place..

And the boy ignoring your help on his alchemy, with him also being a little pest while your cleaning, making messes everywhere as he smirks In the corner

"I'm sorry buddy it's just Varians gonna get even madder if you break something" you say to the raccoon as it chirps, running out

You hear Varian mock you before taking off his mask, looking at the black rocks he was just studying

"Its not working... Your little 'magic' books are no help either" Varian says in a grumpy mood as you roll your eyes, trying to be patient with the boy

Picking up the books he has on the floor before he growls

"I-its like you don't listen! We need to figure out what's happening!! It's destroying our home!"

You look over to Varian before signing "I know but yelling isn't going to do anything about it... We need to know what there made of but we can't break off a piece.."

"Yeah and every time you get close it disappears..." He says with sass as you hit him with a book, Varian groans before looking up at you

"Your just grumpy my sweet, go get some fresh air and maybe then you can talk without this attitude"

He rolls his eyes, embarrassed by your comment as he starts to mumble to himself

You smile as Varian gets back to work, Quirin yelling your names shortly after

Varian looks nervous as you two sit, the table dividing you three as his father raises an eyebrow, seeing you and Varian glare at each other

"I've noticed that you two haven't been getting along.... I wanna know what happened"

You look at the man, feeling guilty as he looks between you too, Varian speeking up before you

"Y/n doesn't focus on our work anymore!! All she does is hangout within Corona! You cant be okay with her going there everyday!"

"I work in Corona Varian! It's my job"

"Oh and you can't get a job here?!! There's thousands of jobs open!"

"Okay that enough you too!" Quirin yells shutting you too up as you flinch, the man glaring at both of you before sighing

"Look.... I know times have been different with these rocks everywhere but it's no excuse to fight"

"I want this resolved by tomorrow! And if I hear arguing in the morning one more time I swear.."

You both nod as Quirin sighs, rubbing his forehead as he thinks

"Go around town and make sure the town's people are okay, some are in need and I think you two are in for the job.."

Varian quickly gets up, worried "b-but dad! I have a project that will end our problem with these rocks!"

"Not now! Varian! We need the people to be safe!"

"We'll do it sir, c'mon var!" You say getting up and pushing the boy out of the house

Varian groans Crossing his arms as you sigh, walking down old corona

"Varian you can help? Not sulking around just because you want to be a dork inside your lab"

"Just because your to afraid on what might happen doesn't mean I am.." he whispers under his breath just enough for you to hear, you give him a sad look before sighing

You both walk down quietly as you check upon people, giving them blankets or food if needed, they thank you as varian sits to the side scoffing

He watches as you make conversation with an old lady and her daughter, the both looking happy at your presence as you give them a lamp, for the darkness

Varian always saw how you acted towards the town... without ease you would bring up conversation to anyone and act with kindness... he walkways saw it as a waste off time, not like anyone wants to talk to the crazy alchemist kid

Yet he can't help but feel sadness at this, your his only friend for years, he has no one and you have everyone... why can't you just stay with him? He feels nothing but despair everytime you leave, yet you still go....

"That's the last house in old corona, maybe I should go check up on cass and rapunzel.." you say with concern as you look at the dark night, thinking that rapunzel may be sleeping

"What? We've been to every house in corona! Isn't that enough for you!" Varian yells as you look at him scoffing before folding your arms

"What's the problem, I need to see if there okay varian, not your sassy remarks" you say annoyed before lighting the lamp you have, varian looks at you hopelessly before groaning

"It's just for tonight varian, please don't make it a thing" you say gently before turning around

You walk away from the boy trying to find your path as varian looks at you in anger, looking down at the ground before sighing

"There not even the ones effected... not like you care... your selfish"

You stop in your tracks before looking behind you "what?"

"Your selfish, you care more for corona then your own town, people are suffering because your to scared! To do anything about the rocks! If I had your help with it then they would be gone!" He yells as you look at him, looking down at his remarks in fear

"Just to bud you head with a royal, your only a servant to her yet you stay? At least I know where I belong..." he says glaring at you as you look at him

"What I'm doing is making sure people have what they need! I'm helping! I work those jobs for them! Us! I need rapunzel help with my finds! I care about everyone here! There what I care about!"

"Am I not one of them!" Varian yells, tears going down his face as he looks at you, fear in his eyes as he grabs his hair

"All I do everyday is wait... for you to come home just so I can feel the littlest bit of love and happinesses, but you choice to hang out with people that hate me... all the kids in corona... the people here... do I not matter?"

"Varian.." you say softly as you go to walk to him, he groans before hiding his face, crying gently as he shakes

You hug him as you both fall tot he ground, the boy clinging to you before gently sobbing "I can't... be without you, what don't you get.... Your the only one I have, I can't lose you y/n.."

Varian says quietly as you rub his head, moving his hair out of his face before giving him a small smile "I'll never leave you varian... nothing is better then spending time with you"

He nods before grabbing you tightly, giving out more sobs as you comfort him, tears going down your face as you hug him tight....

He was acting like that cause he was uncomfortable... sad at the fact you where leaving every day... you need to stay by him.... forever
