You smile as you hear everyone outside laughing and singing, you sigh as you put the finishing touch to Monteys heart cookies

He comes up behind you smiling "those look great! Thanks for the help y/n it's been quite busy with the day of the hearts going on! You can take some sweets at you go"

You smile at the old man and nod "thanks uncle Montey, I'll give some to Varian too"

He nods before going to great new costumers you take off your apron and grab a few bags of candy as you leave

You look up to see Varian waiting for you with a smile "y/n!! Just the person I was waiting for! C'mon there doing the book signing!"

Varian grabs your arm before running through the sidewalk as you try to keep up

He stops in front of the castle smiling as you wave at Cassandra

She waves back as Rapunzel runs up to you "y/n, it's nice to see you so soon! I see your with varian~"

You roll your eyes "where just here to see people sign the book, and I've made a discovery about the black rocks"

Her face turns nervous as Cassandra walks over "you can talk to us about it later, and we have something to discuss with you"

Rapunzel sighs "not this again Cass, I don't get what you and Eugene think, there just kids that have crushes"

You raise an eyebrow as Eugene waves at you "whatever, y/n I want you to follow me to the stands"

You don't get to respond as Cass walks you over there, Varian sees this and raises an eyebrow

Cass walks with you to the garden as she sighs "I wanted to talk to you about Varian,"

You look up at her and smile "so you brought me to the castle because of that? You could've just asked me there"

"Well he gets in the way, anyways back to the question, does Varian every seem 'weird' to you?"

You think for a second but shake your head "no... I mean he gets into his alchemy for a while but that's all..."

Cassandra nods before sighing "it's just I've seen him around town wondering for you, it just seems off for a friend?"

You raise an eyebrow as Cass rolls her eyes "whatever, I need your help today, the nerds been following me around for a days and I need you to destract him"

"Why has he been following you?"

She shrugs her shoulder as she sees Varian walking over with Rapunzel "just do me this! Okay"

Cass walks to Rapunzel and takes her away as Varian raises an eyebrow

He walks to you and smiles "hey there selling chocolates over there I was wondering if you wanted some?"

You nod as Varian walks you over there buying some dark chocolate, he feeds you one as he looks around for someone

"Um, there almost done sighing the books, we should go home" he looks over to you before shaking his head

"C'mon! The day still goes on without the book! Let's go to some activities!"

You raise an eyebrow as you look at the different stands "but thoses are for couples.... And where not"

"Y-yeah yeah, I know but where best friends! That's mostly like a couple" you don't get to answer as he grabs your hand and Yanks you over there

Varian looks at you with a smirk 'its working out perfectly~"

You and Varian go around Corona doing little cute couple stuff as you make sure he doesn't run of to find Cass

He sighs before looking around "well it's getting dark, I'm gonna be right back you stay here"

You look at him before grabbing his shoulder "w-wait, it's not that late I'm sure there's more actives!!"

Varian raises an eyebrow before looking around "no, everyone's done for the day, but there is one that's about to end..."

You smiles looking at him "okay, what is it?"

He smiles before grabbing your hand "the book signing!!~ I've always wanted to sigh our names! C'mon and then I promise were going to go home together!!"

You stop smiling as you look scared "b-but couples do that... Who f-found true love with each other..."

"Exactly!! It's us! And we already promised to be together forever! This will just make it so we do!"

"Varian! We where six w-we can't write are names in!"

He raises an eyebrow and looks down "you said we could do one more! And it's not like where doing it as a couple! Please! And then we can go home and work on those rocks!"

You think for a second as you look at Cassandra and Rapunzel fighting, you see her with a rose in hand

'she told me to distract him for the whole day... It's midnight now but she said...'

"Okay..."

Varian jumps up happy as he twirls you around, Cassandra and Rapunzel look over at you two as Varian runs over to the book

"Hey cass... I know we just got the book back from your evil boyfriend and your mad I followed you but what are they doing?..."

She raises an eyebrow before looking over to see Varian holding a pen, she sees you uncomfortable and walks over

"Hey... Eugene, look at thoses two? Why is she so upset? Did Varian do something?"

He looks at you guys and shakes his head "I don't know, they said something about a book signing.... Oh"

Cassandra's eyes widen as her and Eugene run over to you guys, Varian smiles at you as he writes both of your names in a heart

"Woah! Varian what are you guys doing!" Eugene says pulling you two away from the book

Varian smiles as he holds your hand "nothing... But guess who just signed the book!~ as friends of course"

Rapunzel squeels as she hug him, you nod your head before smiling at Cass, she shakes her head before grabbing your arm

"We'll be right back...."

She rushes you too a Alley "okay! What was that all about! You two know your not supposed to write your names!"

"I know! B-but you said destract Varian! A-And I did but he got bored and then one thing led to another!"

Cass looks at your shaken form and sighs "okay... I understand, but listen to me y/n.. you need to keep an eye on Varian! He's taking advantage of your kindness... And I'll try not to get captain to see the name thing"

You nod as she rubs your head, Varian runs up to you and smiles "hey! What are you guys talking about?"

"Nothing... I gotta go, go home you too it's late"....

Cass walks away as she glares at Varian, he raises an eyebrow before shurgging

"Let's start going home! It's a long way to old Corona!"

Varian grabs your hand as you nod at him, he walks with you talking to yourself as he smiles
