I circled The Enchanted Wood in the map above for reference :)

Your POV

"I'm so sorry. Too soon?"

"You think?" I pushed my hair out of my face. "Harry, I know we just figured stuff out and all, but I'm not ready for anything like that. It's way too fast. Plus, I'm really not a fan of labels like girlfriend-boyfriend stuff. Just like how dating isn't a thing on the Isle, it's not really a thing for me. Yet, at least."

"That makes sense - I don't think I should have been rushing in anyways. I should learn to take things slow."

"Yeah, I mean one second you're saying this, and then the next you're saying the total opposite. It's hard for me to differentiate the truth from the... you know." We were still a few minutes from the woods.

"I get what you're saying - old habits die hard I guess. But know that there is no truth truer than this - I absolutely and entirely love you. Anything that says otherwise is a lie. This, I promise you."

"I promise this to you as well." I smiled and he smiled back. He pulled me into a warm embrace. I held on, not wanting to ever pull away.

"So, just to make sure. We're together for most purposes, but not together together - at the moment."

"That sounds about right."

"But (y/n) If you were a typical princess - wouldn't we already be 'happily ever after' married?"

I laughed. "Harry, that's not funny! Plus, I think you'd know by now that I'm not a typical princess."

"That's for sure - I'm still baffled at the fact that you're choosing to hang out with a pirate like me."

I rolled my eyes. "It seems like your carpet sickness is all gone - I told you it wouldn't take long."

"Princess, I don't think it was the carpet making me feel ill. It was the idea of you being cross with me." I looked ahead to partially hide my smile.

"Are you sure you're not just saying that because you don't want to admit a few bumps made you nauseous?"

"I'm serious (y/n)."

"Okayy. Seems like we're here - we could technically go through on the carpet the entire time, but walking's much more fun don't you think?"

"I agree."

We landed in a field and got off. "I have to admit, it feels good to be back on the ground." Harry stretched out his arms.

"This is going to be so fun - did you know that this is one of the only places left in Auradon that's filled with magic?"

"What does that mean?"

"You'll see." We began walking through the field, with the carpet following shortly behind us. "So, have you talked to your dad about coming to Auradon Prep yet?"

"Not really - well sort of. I brought up that I want to attend school at Auradon beginning this year, but he dismissed the topic by talking about the fact that he can go back to sailing around the world? I'm not sure if that was an invitation for me to leave, or an indirect way of asking me to join him. Either way, I'm going to find a way to come to Auradon - there's no place I'd rather be than here. Look at all this green!"

"Watch your step!" A log that was laying off to the side abruptly slid in front of Harry - a second sooner and he would have fallen.

"What was that? It was like it was trying to trip me!"

I laughed lightheartedly. "They do that sometimes - especially if it's someone they haven't seen here before."

"And by 'they', who are you exactly referring to?"
