Your POV

Sunday evening, the day before school begins...

As per typical Auradon nature, a celebration had been planned as a result of the Gothel threat being lifted. Ironically, Lydia herself would be there, but she didn't mind it at all, and no one made any effort to hide the purpose of this gathering from her.

"Ready?" I called to Uma, who went into the bathroom 10 minutes ago to fix up her hair.

Rather than the usual Agrabah blue and gold theme I picked for such occasions, I chose to mix it up, picking out a lavender mid-length tulle dress from the options Evie tailored specifically for me. I told her not to bother wasting her time making multiple outfits only for me, but she insisted, arguing that this event was literally in honour of me, and that I should have the perfect ensemble. Plus, I could use the other ones the next time a villain struck. I secretly thought, only half-joking with myself.

[I was thinking of something along the lines of this for (y/n)'s dress]

Uma finally came out. "Now I'm ready." She smiled. After we both showered each other with genuine compliments, we decided we should head down.

"We probably shouldn't keep the guys waiting too long." I slipped on my most comfortable dancing heels and opened the door. Harry and Johnny told us they would pick us up at the bottom of the spiral staircase leading into the main foyer.

Just when I was glad we didn't have any unfriendly bump-ins with the likes of Chad and company, we came across Steve.

He scoffed loudly as we walked by. Not being able to resist, I stopped myself and turned around. "What's your problem, Steve?"

He held his hands up innocently. "Nothing, nothing, but (y/n), I'll have you know, you can stick a dress on a villain, but they're still a villain." He looked Uma up and down, gauging her. Ugh, the audacity! Insulting Uma of all VKs.

"You know what Steve? I'll have you know, you can put a crown on a jerk, but they're still a jerk."

"Even more so a jerk, for that matter," Uma added, her face firm.

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Let's go." I put my arm around her, and we continued to the end of the hall.

"How'd you ever catch feelings for that guy?" Uma held back a laugh.

"Please don't ever bring that up again Uma!" I whined. "My judgment was clearly clouded."

"Oh, there they are." She pointed down as we began to go down the stairs.

"Wow, they don't look too bad," I commented. They actually looked spiffier than I could probably describe, both suiting what looked like 3-piece suits - the ones with vests inside, whatever they're called. I never pay much attention to that stuff. Whatever it is, it looks good.
