"Mom, are we going back to the house?" I asked
We just arrived here in Manila from New York. Nakakamiss naman ang init dito, ang lamig kasi doon sa New York.
"I don't know dear, your father will be the one who will decide" Mom replied
"Dad?"
"Yes honey we are going to stay in our house" Dad immediately answered when I asked
When our service arrived, we went to our house, it's been 6 years since I last stepped on this marbled floor. I spent my time reminiscing memories while I look around our house. It was a bad memory when we left here, I didn't get the chance to say goodbye properly to my friend.
Franz.
"Kamusta na kaya siya?, lumipat kaya sila nang bahay?" I whispered to myself
Franz was my friend here in Manila. I was born kasi in Cebu and all my other friends are there.
Franz was my neighbor, he was my first crush (crush? oh siguro love mo na) here in Manila, and my first heartbreak too.
It was a tiring morning for us that's why mom and dad decided to sleep and I went to the balcony in my room. When I went out to the balcony, the first thing I saw is the window of his room, the curtains is closed so I just closed my eyes and felt the wind blowing.
"How are you Franz? I missed you" I whispered to the wind
I spent my whole morning unpacking my things and cleaning. While cleaning my room I found a moon gold necklace, I picked it up and remembered that it was a gift that Franz gave me. He gave it to me when we were in our secret and favorite spot here in Villa Verleysen, we were lying down while watching the moon.
It was already lunch time when I finished cleaning and unpacking my things. I heard someone knocked on my door.
"Miss Gray kain ka na po luto na po ang tanghalian niyo" Manang Daisy said
"Sige po manang bababa na po ako, I'll take a shower first"
I took a shower after cleaning at nagsuot ng pink na dolphin shorts and a plain black t-shirt. I went downstairs after changing my clothes and looked at our table, mom and dad wasn't there maybe they are still asleep, so I ate first.
Pagkatapos kong kumain nagiisip ako kung anong gagawin ko ngayon. Since tapos naman ako sa aking kwarto lumabas nalang ako sa hardin namin. Ang una kong natanaw ay ang balcony ng kwarto niya. I stared at it and sadly smiled.
Nag didilig nalang ako sa mga halaman sa hardin namin pampalipas ng oras. It was a cloudy afternoon so I decided to go to our spot pagkatapos ko dito mag dilig.
I was only walking to go to our spot, hindi naman siya malayo kaya okay lang sa akin, hindi rin naman kasi mainit kaya mas okay.
I arrived at our spot, it was full of dried leaves. I went to the end and saw how beautiful the city is, it would be prettier at night because of the city lights. I want to lay down but there are garbages everywhere, plastic wrappers, water bottles and etc.. Gladly may nakita akong walis at pandakot may basurahan din. Kinuha ko yon at nilinisan ang spot namin.
Pagkatapos kong linisan ang spot namin, humiga na ako at dinama ang hangin. Nakakaantok ang hangin so I put my arm above my eyes so that it won't be that bright. Ilang minuto lang ang lumipas may narinig akong sasakyan hindi kalayuan, bumukas ang pinto at may naglakad papunta dito kaya dumilat ako at tumayo. When I got up, I didn't hear any footsteps kaya napalingon ako sa aking likod. I felt my heart skipped, my eyes widened when I saw who was in front of me.
