-there are some dirty jokes in this
-sorry lol(Y/n) couldn't take it anymore. The stress on her shoulders made her feel like she were holding the sky with her bare hands. The day started out fine, with the usual short negotiantions, but as it progressed, it took a steep dive that dragged her mood along with it. (Y/n) didn't like to be indecisive because it could be fatal in the heat of battle. It just so happened that the people on this planet were terribly indecisive, a trait (Y/n) couldn't help but dislike.
The perfectly blue sky greeted her as soon as she burst through the front doors. Birds chirped and chattering in the trees while the occasional animal scuttered away in hiding. (Y/n) didn't like how picture-perfect everything looked. From the lakes a mile or two away to the swaying leaves on the trees. It was as if the whole galaxy decided to take joy in (Y/n)'s suffering by presenting the planet to her.
(Y/n) suddenly sensed a familiar presence approaching. It was cool compared to her own, and although a surprise, quite calming.
"Anakin." She blurted. He appeared at her side, smiling with that twinkle of mischief in his eyes. "I can sense your frustration from across the stars." He lay a hand over (Y/n)'s and led her onto the outrageously large front steps. "Ani, not here--"
"What's wrong?" he interrupted.
That twinkle of mischief replaced itself with a flash of swirling worry. His hands were gentle yet firm as he led (Y/n) further down the stairs. The sun finally hit her from behind a patch of clouds, illuminating every strand of hair and every inch of her (s/t) face. Anakin awed at the sight. After being with her for so many years, he still couldn't believe how lucky he was to have her by his side.
"Nothing is wrong." (Y/n) finally said. "I'm...I'm fine."
"Liar!" Anakin playfully chided. (Y/n) gently bumped shoulders with him, a small smile rising to her lips. "Okay, maybe that was a lie, but now that you're here..." she paused to get a good look at his handsome face. "...I'm fine."
"Because of me?" Anakin echoed. (Y/n) smiled and laced her fingertips with his.
It didn't matter that they were in public. They had strayed so far from the premises that no one could see the both through the flowers and rolling fields of green. A warm breeze decided to pass by, tickling (Y/n)'s nose with the petals it picked up.
"Don't stress too much about the negotiations."
(Y/n) turned to him, scanning his face carefully. How had he known? Were her emotions so easily conveyed through the Force or was she just that open?
"You're doing great, (N/n), just give them time. This is a big decision for these people. They've been in isolation for centuries, so they don't know who to trust." (Y/n) thoughtfully nodded in agreement. "I just hope they choose us over the Separatists."
(Y/n) met Anakin's sky blue eyes. They sparkled and glittered, but not in the way she remembered. Behind that, a darkness lay dormant, preparing to strike if the correct moment came. It was unnerving, but before (Y/n) could comment, Anakin pulled her close and rolled into the grassy fields. They trampled a few flowers on the way, but Anakin didn't seem to care. All that mattered was that (Y/n) lay in his arms, safe and sound.
He plucked a flower that matched his eyes and placed it behind her ear. (Y/n) stared at the patch it once lay in, a look of realisation flashing upon her face. Forget-me-nots, she thought.
"No flower can ever be as beautiful as you." Anakin said. (Y/n) snorted in an attempt to ignore the blush crawling up her cheeks. "Is that so? Well, no star shines as bright as you."
Anakin sat up, that twinkle in his eyes once again present. "Think you can one up me?" He grinned brighter than the sun. "Think again, my love. Are you a lightsaber? Because I saw you glowing fron across the room." (Y/n) did a half snort half laugh. "Cheesy." She placed a finger to her chin in thought "I love you so much that we should get matching Tatooines."
Anakin's grin widened. His gaze ripped from (Y/n)'s and traveled lower down her body as he said, "I'm here to collect my bounty on that ass."
"Is that a lightsaber in your pants or are you just happy to see me?"
"I wanna touch your naboobies."
(Y/n) smiled wickedly in such a way that Anakin's breath hitched. "Then why don't we get hoth and heavy?" Anakin inched closer to (Y/n)'s side. He snaked a hand around her waist and laid his head on her shoulder. "You know, Obi-wan told me to follow my instincts, but my instincts are all over you."
They both couldn't help but laugh. How did they get from talking about stress to conjuring dumb pick-up lines?
Whatever the reason didn't matter because all of (Y/n)'s frustrations dissipated. "Stars, I love you so much." Anakin pecked her on the lips. "I love you more." He placed a hand on her cheek. "Why don't we consider 'getting hoth and heavy'?"
