The song of the chapter: Headlights, eminem
Savanna's P.O.V
- Do you ever have a gut instinct that something horrible is going to happen to you? Like one day you wake up and immediately feel like something is wrong? Yeah well that's what happened to me. I'm Savanna Isabelle McCoy, I'm 15 years old and I live, well lived, with my grandma. We lived in a small trailer park just outside of Summershade Kentucky, a two bedroom one bathroom and really tiny kitchen and living room trailer. I attended Summershade high school as a sophomore, top of my class actually. People have told me I have bad social skills in the past, however I think I'm just shy. So because of that I have never had a boyfriend or even very many friends. I have an average body, 5"4, medium length brown hair, brown eyes, not extremely skinny but not obese either. Usually my closet consists of skinny jeans, sweatshirts or tee shirts, and plain sweaters. I only have one pair of shoes and they happen to be worn-out black converse, you're probably wondering why I live with my grandma instead of parents. When I. Was six my mom was on her way to pick me up from my babysitters house on a rainy day, as she was crossing An intersection a car full of speeding teenagers ran full on into her. When paramedics arrived they were already too late, they took her to the hospital so they could make her comfortable during her last few minutes. The only thing I really remember after that is her last words to me "Baby girl I'm going to miss you so much. But if there's one thing I want you to remember it's this: if anyone ever tried to tell you you can't do something simply say this, watch me. If anyone ever tells you you'll never amount to anything simply say, watch me." After that my dad took me out of the room, I'm not sure why though I'm pretty sure it had to do with the fact that he was breaking inside. After sitting in the waiting room for a few hours a pretty nurse came to tell us my mother had passed away, and when I think about it I can still feel the gut wrenching pain of realizing I was motherless. "Honey we'll be alright" dad said squeezing my shoulder, "it'll take some time but we'll be okay." And that's when the disaster started.
