part 1- practice

im going to be writing any time they speak russian like this with " marks. i might use italics for thoughts as well but it wont have " marks. now on with the story!

Hinata's pov

Practice was going pretty well today. i knew i had to head to the ice rink straight after so i pushed myself pretty hard to get out on time. I was pretty tired though which i knew i'd regret later on but i had to keep things separate and i didn't want anyone getting suspicious.

"Hey Hinata you're working really hard today you alright?" Suga asked. "o-oh uh yeah,, i have a...family thing straight after practice so i wanted to make sure i didn't need to stay extra" i gave a nervous laugh and scratched my neck. *smack* suddenly a ball hit me in the back of the head "Boke not staying after practice? who are you" "alright dumbass, i have a life you know" I retorted. "GUYS! were gonna end practice early so you can go get changed once we've cleaned up"

I hurriedly helped the team tidy up the net and put away the balls and then sprinted to the club room. Usually, i would be the first one to change so i could put my practice clothes on underneath my regular clothes but this time i forgot to get changed before everyone else as i had a phone call to make.

*ring* *ring* "Shoyo? Aren't you at practice?" "Oh uh, it finished early today so ill be heading down in a minute." "Who just called you Shoyo? DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!?" Nishinoya yelled as he ran in the club room. "h-uh? oh uh n-no. I'm just talking to my family to say ill be home early" "Shoyo? who are you talking to?" "oh its just Nishinoya. He thought i had a girlfriend" we giggled and i saw some confused faces as everyone walked into the clubroom.

"Sorry u-uh guys, I'll be there early so ill be down in like 20 minutes?" "ok well head down soon. Don't work yourself too hard my prodigy you need to save stamina, We still want to meet your friends soon though right Yuri?" "yeah, we do. Stop talking in Russian babe" "maybe you can meet them soon, ive gotta get changed. and I agree with your boyfriend. save that for later when i can actually reply, bye"

With that, i hung up and reached into my bag noticing some stares from my teammates. "What do you guys want? did i do something wrong?" "How the hell do you know Russian" Saltyshima asked pretty bluntly "R-Russian?" "Yeah you were talking to someone pretty weird and they were talking in a weird language" "the other guy literally said he was speaking Russian Tanaka. But how does Hinata, the dumbass, know Russian?"

"uuuuuuuuh...they're my family, from Russia?" "why do your family want to meet the team? also love the gay support, we should totally meet them!" "uhh yeah that was my cousin and his boyfriend haha. i don't know about meeting them" "come on Hinata we all wanna meet your cousin and his boyfriend" everyone stared at Suga now, just very confused. "uh Suga since when have you spoke Russian? and Hinata what's this about your cousin?" Daichi seemed almost concerned?

"Oh, i lived in Russia for a few years when i was a kid. Hinata was talking to his cousin and his boyfriend came on and they were talking about meeting us" "how did you even hear it all? it wasn't on speaker was it?" "your cousin was very loud" he chuckled

I abandoned the conversation that was happening around me, my mind racing with things Suga may have heard on the phone but nothing bad came to mind. I threw on my practice clothes forgetting about the team and grabbed my bag before heading towards the door. "Boke! its like 25 degrees out joggers and a sports T-shirt? you'll die of heat exhaustion" "uhh i get cold easily? anyway bye, guys!" and i ran. ran towards the ice rink which inconveniently was in the opposite direction of my house.

Suga Pov

"seriously Suga who knew you spoke Russian! that's so cool" "Thanks, Noya. I've never had to use it before though"  i smiled. "didn't Boke say hed see them in 20 minutes? his house is 30 minutes away at the least" "and he literally left the opposite way of his house idiots" Kageyama and Tsukishima pointed out. "let's not be nosy guys,  knowing you you'd follow him-" "YES LETS DO THAT!" Tanaka yelled. "I- no please don't right Daichi" "well i do want to know why he's lying to us. Plus you said whoever it was wanted to meet us right? let's just follow him and act like we were just planning on going there as a team" i sighed and nodded hoping this wouldn't come back to bite us in the ass later.

*time skip*

We had been walking as a group behind Hinata for around 25 minutes when he suddenly walked inside a building none of us recognised. we sign showed us that it was an ice skating rink and we walked in behind him though we were met with a woman at the counter. "sorry we aren't open right now, were being privately rented and we can't allow the public inside. sorry" she smiled us as Daichi apologised and we left.

"That's weird? maybe Hinatas family rented this place out for a family thing?" "yeah let's not bother him guys, it might be important, why else would he leave on time?" I reasoned and the team seemed to agree so we all headed home. as we started walking back to Sakanoshita we noticed a little tuft of orange hair sprinting with 2 other people.

"HINATA OVER HERE!" Tanaka yelled. Ennoshita slapped him on the back of the head and told him to leave him alone while we looked over at the surprised Hinata.

Hinatas pov

the second I saw the team all I could think was 'shit'. I turned and whispered the Victor and Yuri to pull up their masks and stay behind. "they don't know I skate and I'm worried they'll recognise you. ill just tell them I'm busy give me a sec. oh and one of them speaks Russian so if you're gonna talk don't be loud"  i ran towards the group with my face mask up. "hey sup- sorry wassup guys?" at that moment coach called from inside the store "Hey Hinata! how come you didn't get a meat bun with the team?" "sorry coach im with family! me and my cousin are on a jog right now" "Oo is it your cousin and his boyfriend i wanna meet the-" "Shoyo we need to get going" Yuri cut Suga off thank god. "sorry suga you guys can meet another time i gotta go bye!"

teams pov

"well that was weird," we said in unison as Hinata sprinted off with two hooded and masked figures.

Authors note: hey guys! I hope you liked the first chapter. I wrote this story basically because I read another one with only 4 chapters and I desperately wanted an update so I figured why not write my own. I love this crossover and am excited to write it.
