Part 21-party

Oikawa pov

I gave Shoyo a piggy back ride so he could rest slightly and just relax as I walked over to the inn down the road. I knew the team had some sort of birthday celebration planned but as soon as I told them I needed to see Shoyo they understood

𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸

After practice the team basically dragged me to the Inn telling me all about how we were going to celebrate my stupid 18th birthday. No matter how many times I told them I didn't care about it and they didn't need to do anything iwa-chan would say "shut up Shittykawa we just want to celebrate you for once, get over it". It did make me chuckle slightly though knowing he was trying to hide how much he cares about me. "aw Iwa-chan does care about me!"

He slapped me on the head once I said that, but I expected it- that's just how he is. He always pretends he hates me but he still makes sure I know he's just joking around. Ever since I was hospitalised he started walking on eggshells around me, ensuring me that he never meant to hurt me. It took a while but he eventually got back to his normally grumpy self which I appreciate.

When we got to the door they told me to wait outside for a bit while set some stuff up, I didn't really care Since I ended up texting Shoyo asking how he was the whole time. To my surprise it was actually Makki that came out to get me- simply grabbing me by the shoulders and exclaiming "come in bitch boy let's partayyyyyyy" then walking back inside.

With a shrug I texted sho-chan that I had to go and he just sent a 'k 😘' in reply. I was glad he seemed to be ok and didn't mind not being able to come over (his entire team were being super overprotective and weary of him) so I was kind of hesitant to turn off my phone but oh well.

As I stepped inside I was blinded by flashing lights and quickly shut my eyes attempting to adjust. Whilst my eyes were closed a hand grabbed my wrist dragging me forward, then suddenly it let go causing me to stumble forward into the middle. When I finally reopened my eyes the whole team had surrounded me in a circle and the inns communal area was decorated fully. As I took a closer look I noticed 18th birthday banners, fairy lights covering the walls and an assortment of both helium and regular balloons. I almost teared up at the effort that they had all put in.

"TANJOUBI OMEDETOU!" (Happy birthday) everyone shouted with smiles on their faces. I was immediately pulled to a seat at the head of the table on the floor where Iwa-chan started bringing in some presents from the team together and individual presents. One caught my eye though- "IS THAT MILK BREAD?! aaaaa you know me so well!" As I started opening them one by one my phone started going off.

"Oi Tooru, it's Suga" Hajime chucked my phone at me, which luckily I caught but if I hadn't I'd be super mad, and I pressed the green answer button holding it to my ear.

Suga: Hey... Oiks?
Me: yeah wassup Suga
Suga: it's Hinata
Me: what the hell happened?
Suga: after I took him back to the inn he woke up when Yurio started yelling. He refused to tell anyone what happened and eventually snapped at Yuri and Victor telling them they weren't hid real parents. He broke down and eventually fell asleep in Yuri's arms but we had to wake him up pretty quickly because the team got back. I think he was texting you but Nekomas on their way over and his parents don't think he should be alone tonight. I could have Kageyama with him but I dont want to have to explain it to him. Think you could come over? I don't want you to miss your birthday celebration though

I took a second to comprehend what he had said before speaking back

Me: he's more important than my stupid 18th birthday! I'm on my way over, I've just got to explain to the team I guess
Suga: ok, I left his window unlocked you know what to do
Me: be right over
*call ended*

When I pressed the red button I looked around at everyone awkwardly trying to find the words, though Iwa-chan cut me off. "It's Hinata right?" He always knew me too well. I just nodded my head and looked away, though a chuckle from beside me confused me. "Go on you idiot, he's more important. Thought you didn't even want to celebrate? Just go see him" I immediately jumped up muttering a string of 'thank you's and ran out the door, with only my phone In my jacket pocket.

I ran practically the whole way there and o cue I got through his window I jumped under his covers wrapping myself up and occupying myself with my phone till he came in. I was not expecting him and Kenma Kozume from Nekoma to walk in and I didn't expect him to be so surprised I was there. 'Guess Suga didn't tell him?'. Anyway it turned out they were there to discuss what made him break down earlier and I just sat listening to them talk as it happened.

*back to the present*

I carried a sleeping Shoyo on my back the whole walk to Seijoh inn, which wasn't very far anyway. When we finally arrived I woke him up by placing a kiss on his cheek and whispering his name, and he eventually woke up and got off my back grabbing my hand as we walked in. "Hey guys! I brought an extra someone" the team stopped their conversations and looked in our direction, smiling somewhat more as we walked Over to the table and sat back down.

"So Shoyo? He still hasn't scared you away yet?" The ginger just chuckled and smiled his usual blinding smile saying "I'd never get scared of this guy, he's so stupid he couldn't scare an anxious kitten!" Everyone seemed to laugh at that and suddenly it was like I had never left. We were back into opening presents, eating snacks and messing around singing karaoke and staying up all night dancing.

When we finally went to bed at 4am I carried Shoyo back to my room placing him on the side closest to the wall since I know he prefers it, and snuggled him into my chest, resting my chin on his head. After the exhausting day and night we both had, I was out like a light and fell into deep sleep waiting to wake up the next day and finally go home from camp.

Sorry the chapter is so short but I may go back and edit it later. I just didn't want to make you wait so long. If I do add anything I'll tell you guys and make sure to outline the new bits so it isn't confusing.
