Part 10-sneaking out

(This is all still in Hinata's PoV unless it says otherwise)

Everyone was asleep by 11pm somehow and at 11:50 I realised I needed to leave to see Tooru. I was way too excited and I knew there was no way he'd like me back but he seemed so sincere I didn't mind getting my hopes up this once. I climbed over the sleeping bodies in my room not caring about my clothes and opened the window. I grabbed two insulated cups full of tea Nana left me before everyone fell asleep and climbed out the window making sure not to shut it so I could sneak back in. In my hurry I accidentally left my phone but I forgot to even check for it while I was walking.

I made it to the park and noticed Tooru sat on a bench. I ran up to the bench and sat beside him smiling and handing him his cup "hey Tooru, I brought tea" he smiled and took a sip from the cup relaxing against the bench. "So I was thinking we could just get to know each other and maybe do some stargazing?" "Are you just finding an excuse to cuddle?" "Maybe,, but you're so much bigger than me and I bet you're really warm and it's weird but I wanna hug you" "Sho-chan it isn't weird I think it's sweet, why don't you cuddle up while we chat?" I hummed in response nuzzling into the side of his hoodie and feeling the warmth and his scent soothe me.

"So what do you wanna know Sho-chan?" We talked for a while. We talked about family and siblings, my relationship with dad and pops, he asked how rich I was which I answered honestly, we talked about volleyball for ages , and we just enjoyed each other's company. "Hey you know how I said we could have our first date on Wednesday? How about we go shopping. I don't have anything to spend day money on so how about we pick out outfits for eachother and buy them if we like them. We could maybe go to the arcade too, or just come back to the park and talk" "I'd like that" he murmured leaning his chin in my head and wrapping his arms around my waist. "Tooru do you think we're moving too fast?" We barely even talked the day before and suddenly we were going on dates and cuddling. Not to say I didn't like him because I did, I really did. "Not necessarily, I mean I don't want to ask you out until at least after the second date. This isn't even our first it's just a trial" "ok and how are you feeling about this trial?" "Trial successful" he whispered in my ear making me blush.

We stayed there just talking, drinking and cuddling occasionally staring up at the sky and having random conversations. It was 3am when we realised how late, or early rather, it really was and Tooru walked me back to the inn. We continued to chat as we walked until my room came into view and I noticed- someone had shut the window.

"Uh Tooru" "yeah Sho?" "Someone shut my window, I can't sneak back in" he stared at me for a second as I awkwardly grabbed his sleeve before he nodded turning back around. "You can just stay with me tonight then, but Iwa-chan and I share a room and we'll have to tell him in the morning" "it's fine he's your best friend I trust him, and sleeping in the same bed as you doesn't sound bad" my face was bright red when I thought about how close we'd be all night but it didn't sound bad, I was kinda looking forward to it. Telling Iwaizumi about it made me nervous but I decided to just let Tooru tell him while I got dressed to avoid the awkwardness.

His inn wasn't too far away and when we snuck back in through his window I saw Iwaizumi fast asleep on the bed on the right side of the room. Their beds were pretty big and I immediately snuck under the covers lying down closest to the wall. Tooru climbed under the covers too lying next to me and I could feel his warmth from beside me. Subconsciously, I cuddled up close to him and he wrapped his arm around my waist "night Tooru" "good night Sho-chan" he whispered sleepily and fell asleep straight away. I just buried my head in his hoodie and fell asleep too surrounded by his relaxing scent, though I couldn't quite place what it was.

The time was 7:30am when Tooru's alarm went off. He rolled over and pressed off on his phone only to be met with the stares of Iwaizumi. "So" His cold voice spoke "Shittykawa, care to explain why Karasuno's number 10 is in, your,bed?" "Um I can explain I swear" I had my eyes shut the whole time and decided now was the best time to open them "hi Iwaizumi-senpai" I waved as I sat up rubbing my eyes "just call me Hajime, I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other more" "o-ok" his focus turned to Tooru again and he gave him a questioning look. "So are you gunna explain?"

"I snuck out last night to meet up with Sho-chan and we stayed out till 3am but then someone shut his window so he couldn't sneak back in so I brought him back here because I knew you'd understand, or hoped you would at least" "so he isn't kidnapping you Hinata" I giggled "no I'm here by choice. But I really need to get going, I forgot my phone and the team will notice I'm not in my room, plus I don't have any practice clothes with me but I'll be late if I go back. Do you have a long sleeve shirt and shorts I could borrow?" Iwaizumi turned and headed to the door "oi flattykawa get your boyfriend dressed and then meet the team at the front door, practice starts soon" and with that he slammed the door on his way out. "HES NOT MY BOYFRIEND" Tooru yelled walking over to his closet in the room.

"I have this 3/4 sleeve T-shirt which should fit you but the shorts are gunna be a little big" "-s fine" I hummed as he handed me said clothes. "I'll get changed in the bathroom just shout when you're done" he shut the door leaving me in the room alone. I stripped off my sleepwear and stared at the scabs on my arms for a second before throwing on the T-shirt, which fit pretty nicely, and the shorts which were way too big so I had to roll the waist band and tuck in the T-shirt.

"Im done" I called and the bathroom door clicked open revealing Tooru in his practice clothes. "you'll freeze outside in just that, take this hoodie" he threw the hoodie he wore to the showcase at me and I slipped it on immedietly feeling warmth and his smell wash over me. I don't know how to explain it, it was unique, but it sort of spelled sweet and comforting. I buried my face in the neckline inhaling the scent and told him thank you though it was muffled by the fabric.

"I should probably sneak back, before they find out I was gone. Maybe I can say I went for a walk?" he nodded mad stepped towards me enveloping me in a hug as if he was wishing me not to go. "I gotta gooooo" I whined as I hugged back. "OK, but be careful on your wya back. I'll see you at practice" and he headed towards the door.

"wait what do you mean we'll see-" *slam* "-each other" I never got to ask him what he meant, I thought we were training solo on our first day of the camp.

I snuck out of the window and jogged back to the inn I was staying at to be met with the team, dad, pops, uncle Yuri and Nana staring at me half with anger and half relief. "uh,, hi?" "where. Were. You" Suga asked with venom in his voice. "I went for a walk?" "NO. Tanaka said he woke up in the night to find you not in your bed and thought nothing of it. Then when we woke up an hour ago you still weren't there and had left your phone on the bed. So where were you" this time it was Daichi that got mad.

"I kinda snuck out last night to go see someone and then I guess Tanaka shut my window because I couldn't get in so I had to stay at his place and now I'm wearing his clothes for practice because we woke up late and we had to explain to his friend before we could leave aswell" I blurted out earning a smirk from my family and confused looks from my friends. "IS IT THAT GUY YOU SAID YOU LIKED YESTERDAY?!" noya yelled "uh yeah" I replied awkwardly scratching my head.

"well next time at least remember your phone so you can text us. But don't go sneaking out again, OK. Now we need to go to practice, we have a match against Seijoh today" Daichi informed ushering us all out of the door.

"so Hinata is that his hoodie?" Yamaguchi asked pointing at the light blue alien hoodie I was wearing. "yeah, he didn't want me getting cold" "so what year is he? What's his name? Who's his friend? Where does he live?" Suga started questioning me. "ill answer questions as long as they aren't about his name, school or photos of him/us OK?" they nodded and we continued walking towards the gym.

"so what year is he?" "a third year" "WHAT YOU SCORED A THIRD YEAR!" the crazy 2nd years yelled. "uh yeah? Is that weird" "no that's awesome!" I smiled sheepishly confused by their words but continued on. "do they play volleyball?" "uh yeah, but I'm not saying what team" "why won't you tell ussssss" the team whined. "you wouldn't approve and I don't feel like having a debate because I like them and that's all I care about" "OK, OK, are they hot? You must've shared a bed last night right? How was that"

My face went red at the memory of cuddling Tooru but I still replied "yeah they're pretty attractive, yeah we shared a bed what about it?" "so did you cuddle~?" noya taunted turning me an even deeper red which everyone laughed at. "suga help me" "no way this is funny. You know if you just said his name it'd be easier" "yeah no way in hell. Maybe when we're married I'll tell you" "oo Hinata wants to get married to him, he must really be in love" "SUGA!"
