What's Me Without You? ** ON HOLD**

Graduation Party

The days to come were horrible! The only time I left my room was to go to the bathroom, and even then, I didn't go downstairs. Dad is forcing me to go to Bella'sgraduation, saying that it only happens once and that I'll regret it later in life if I don't go.

Being the Daddy's Princess that I am, I agreed to go. I don't know why, but I did.

Now, I'm sitting here in the auditorium of Forks High School next ot my parents, who are beaming! The valadictorian, Jessica known as the goody too shoes of Forks High, is giving her speech. Nobody really liked her. Not even me. She was too bouncy and happy all the time. Kinda glad that she's Bella's friend and not mine.

I zone out for the whole thing, thinking about Jake.

A very loud applause rips me from my thoughts. I can't stay mad at Bella, she's my sister, and sisters stay together, but I can sure as hell stay mad at Jake! Bella didn't do anything.

"Alex, stand next to Bella, I want a picture of you two!" Dad says. I hug her, and give him a genuine smile.

"I'm sorry I was mad at you Bella, you didn't do anything that really deserves me to be pissed at you," I appologize.

"I'm sorry too, and for the record, I punched him in the face for us," she says, "You still coming to the party later?"

"I guess I can. I need a little pick me up," I say.

*Hours Later*

"I'm really glad you came!" Bella says.

I wrinkle my nose, "God it stinks!"

"Ihave no idea what you're talking about," she says.

I point to my nose and say, "Wolf senses, remember?"

"Forgot," she says before her face falls and she gazes behind me, "Uh oh."

I follow her gaze over my shoulder, only to see Embry, Quil and... Jake.

"Don't do anything you'll regret, and please. Don't phase in the house," she says before walking away to talk to Jake.

I walk over to Quil and ask, "What's been going on since I left?"

"Well, Sam's on your side, but Jake's been terrible! You guys really should talk," he says.

"All of this is his fault, if he wants to talk, I'm all ears," I say.

"Don't be so stubborn," he argues.

"I am not!" I argue back.

"Are too!" he says.

I laugh and wrap my arms around his torso, and say, "God I've missed you Quil!"

He hugs me back and says, "I've missed you too!"

"Alice, what did you see?" Bella asks from  the stairs.

"The decisions been made," Alice replies.

I walk over to the bottom of the stairs and ask, "What's going on?"

"They're not going to Seattle?" Bella says.

Alice shakes her head and says, "No. They're coming here."

Bella goes to find Edward, and Alice goes to find Carlise and Jasper. We follow them into a room upstairs and lock it so no one can come in.

"They'll be here in four days," Alice says with Carlise pacing back and forth.

"This could turn into a blood bath," Carlise concludes.

"Who's behind it?" Edward asks from his place next to Bella.

"I didn't see anyone I recognized. Maybe one," Alice says.

"I know his face. He's local Riley Biers. He didn't start this," Edward reads Alice's mind.

"Whoever did is staying out of the action," she says.

"They must be playing with the blind spots in your vision," Carlise says.

"Either way, the army's coming and there aren't enough of us to protect the town," Jasper says.

"Hold up. What damn army?" Jake asks.

"Newborns. Our kind," Carlise says.

"What are they after?" Embry asks.

"They were passing around Bella's scent. A red blouse," Alice says.

That's who was in the house the other week!!!

"They're after Bella? What the hell does this mean?" Jake asks.

"It means an ugly fihgt. With lives lost," Carlise says. I glance at Jake with a concerned look, that quickly disappears when he looks our way. He looks to us for aproval. He all nod slightly.

"Alright, we're in," he says forcefully.

"No. You'd get yourselves killed no way," Bella says.

"I wasn't asking for permission," Jake says.

Bella sighs and turns to Edward.

"It means more protection for you," he says. A smirk grows on my face before Embry elbows me and it disappears.

"Jacob, do you think Sam would agree to... and understanding?" Carlisle asks.

"As long as we get to kill some vampires," Jake says.

"Jasper?"

"They'll give us the numbers. The newborns won't know they even exist," Jasper says, "It'll give us an edge."

"We'll need to coordinate," Carlise says.

"Carlise, they're going to get hurt," Bella says in our defense.

"We'll all need some training," he says, "Fighting newborns requires knowledge that Jasper has. You're welcome to join us."

"Alright name the time and place," Jake says.

"Jake, you don't know what you're getting yourself into," Bella says.

"Bella, this is what we do. You should be happy. Look at us. Working together. You are the one who wanted us to get along remember?" Jake says slowly and in a bitchy tone.

We all go home, and the next morning, Sam calls me and I head out to the Rez.
