Her beautiful red locks brushed over her soft freckled skin as she laughed with her twin brother.

"You are sowy Bowen." She said giggling.

Bowen grabbed the wooden sword and swung it in the air above his head. "Come horsey, we must save the pwinces !"

Nick laughed, trying to carry Bowen on his back and avoiding the swinging sword at the same time. He galloped to the tree where Reagan sat in the tree house, dressed as a princes.

"Lunch is ready!" Came the shout from the kitchen. Nick grabbed both the twins, tickling them as he walked towards the kitchen. the twins were now 4 years old and as full of life as their mother.

"Thanks honey, I was about to eat these two." Nick said, pretending to eat the children. They both giggled and Nick placed them by the table. They ate lunch and ran back outside laughing and playing.

"Thanks love, that was amazing." He said pulling her closer so him. She flinched and placed her hand on her chest.

"I don't know why it still hurts, it has been 6 years now." She said, opening her shirt just enough to see the scar.

"Sam, you don't have to worry. Esree said that it would take a long time to heal properly. We just need to be patient."

Sam looked into Nick's eyes and smiled. The memory of the battle still haunted her some nights, but she was just glad for the love of her husband and two children to get her through it.

"I love you Nicholas." She whispered softly, kissing him.

"I love you Samantha." He whispered back, deepening the kiss.

"Eww." They heard the twins say together before running off again.

They laughed and watched as Reagan and Bowan played.
