Ch 38 - Storm

Let's see what happens when bad weather keeps everything in at bay.

Everything was proceeding as normal. It was a normal school night. Except the weather was going to get bad. A flash flood warning was issued in the area due to the thunder storm which included heavy amounts of rain. As you, Fuutaro, and the girls finished homework and were thinking about food, the power went out. Then after a two second delay everything was brought back. It must have been the generator from the building. 

"We should probably get home." You mention to Fuutaro.

"You two going to swim?" Huffed Nino.

"Beat as much rain as I can Queen. I can make it." You insisted. 

"Neither of you should go out there." Cried Itsuki.

"Ummm, girls? Guy?" Yotsuba looked outside the window. The bolts of lightning flashing in the background spoke for itself. 

"What do you want me to do?" You asked. 

"Endure in the romantic moment." Gazed Ichika.

"Hey now. Don't even start the flashbacks or daydreams. You really think that's going to fly?" Asked Fuutaro a little annoyed. 

"Miku? Want to sleep with me tonight and he'll have yours?" Offered Ichika. 

"I trust you Fuutaro." Nodded Miku. 

"And we don't room for a nursery. So no funny business you two." Ichika giggled.

"Seriously..." Of all things Ichika could have said, she just had to go there with a joke. Right?

"Don't get any ideas." Huffed Itsuki.

"Either way, I guess I help you all with the essay projects going on and go from there. Right? Fuutaro you can study as long as you like right?"

"I suppose. Storm would simply be unsafe on the bike." He hated to admit it. Plus didn't want any drama involved. 

"You can wear my boyfriend pants and a shirt I borrow from your room. You'll be good right?" Asked Nino.

"Hold on. Boyfriend pants? And you took a shirt from my dresser?"

"To wear to bed at night."

"Oh..." Got to watch that one. What else is she not telling me. I'll find out.

"Guess it's settled. Co-ed sleepover." Yotsuba seemed thrilled. 

"Well we have enough chicken and vegetables. Miku wash up and help me prep. Itsuki take notes from Fuutaro. Yotsuba start making arrangements. And Ichika?"

"Yes?"

"No bright ideas." 

"Currently." Ichika giggled. "Why would I?"

"The obvious..." Though she didn't have to worry about her hitting on you anymore. That phase is long gone. Long gone like your brother's freedom. Which is nice not having a girl flirt in front of Nino. That's jealousy and possibly violent. Queen wants her man a certain way. 

"It's tonight for your benefit?" Winking over.

"Shut up."

"And hopefully Pops doesn't find out about this otherwise we're cooked."

"Only because we're a couple Boo. Before that I doubt he cared."

"Maybe. Though heck. I'll be up early to grab a fresh set of clothes. I'd rather be late and go to detention then smell or feel gross. Fuutaro you in on that?"

"That I am."

"Aw. The two of you are leaving cuddles like it is some sitcom." Ichika teased.

Miku blushed. "Cuddles. Sitcom..."

Quit giving the boys ideas. "Grumbled Itsuki."

"Awww. Itsuki maybe you just need dinner, a bath, and some hugs." Said Nino.

"Just because I'm the youngest doesn't mean I'm that I can be picked on." She pouted.

You stand up and stretch. "Welp. Guess we should start. Take your time with dinner girls. We'll have notes for your homework and essays. Go for it. I actually have one too that counts as a big portion. So I guess here is to part two."

It was late. Later than what you wanted. Everyone was out of the shower and what was making you nervous was being in Nino's room. It's Pops, the sisters, Fuutaro, and your first time sleeping in a woman's bed with her right next to you. Nino is brushing her teeth and you sit at her desk until she gets in. You can smell her perfume from the pants she let you borrow and you are in a plain white t-shirt she took from your room. How she got it made you wonder about more. 

As she entered her room she found herself confused. "Still working on your essay?"

"Just thought I'd wait for you. Your bed, your rules."

"Then come to bed and cuddle me." She walked over to the bed to lay down. As she adjusted to get comfortable she wiggled her butt. "Come spoon."

"Alright."

You sink into the bed and feel tingly. This thought and sensation of comforting your girlfriend. This relationship was getting more and more serious. Though were you comforting her or was it more the other way around? As you wrapped around her, of course it wouldn't take long for her to realize. Could anything get past Nino? Highly doubtful. 

"Your heart is racing?" She turned around. Inches away from your face.

"Sorry..."

"Nervous?"

"Well, yeah."

She grinned. "So cute."

"Thanks. Don't feel it but okay."

"Oh Honey. Don't sweat it too much. Something else bothering you? It the timing? Not feeling your best? Graduation?" 

"A little bit of everything. I know that Father would still take care of us if we ever move out of here. The place is expensive as is. Think about it. But," Nino closed her eyes and took a breath. "I haven't been too much pressure on you. Have I? Us? Them? All of us?"

"The pressure has always been on. You know that. It's just the matter of sometimes I just need to relax and breath. Some weeks are harder than others. And yeah, been nervous about moving out and finding a place with you. Especially since I can't work full time."

She kissed you. "I plan on taking care of you too you know. Not just when you're sick for a day or two. Hugs. Kisses. Food. I have your heart. What else do I need?"

"Just want to like who I am too. I can't imagine going to school and doing homework all day while you are busting your ass in the kitchen. It kind of goes a little bit, you know, haywire."

"We will figure it all out. Now I have the alarm set for you to leave tomorrow. Fuutaro has one too since he's in Miku's room. Let's get some rest. I love you."

"I love you too."

Now, there are going to be a few chapters that just like the manga are going to have brief time skips. It's approaching 40 chapters and I can drag this on for quite a long time. But for quality content from this story to others I am planning ahead to give this a solid. Next chapter will start something refreshing.
