CHAPTER 13

"What do you mean!? Get me all details of Simon's activities from this exact moment. Make sure to keep an eye on him and get the papers ready."

Arthit massaged his temples as he hangs up the phone call.

"Dad?"

Arthit turned around towards their bedroom door to meet the concerned eyes of April.

"You okay Dad?" April asked as she walked forward.

Arthit smiled and nodded his head, "I'm fine April."

April raised her eyebrows, "It's Simon. Right?"

Arthit was shocked to know that April did understand him.  He only shrugged his shoulders.

"Don't worry April, I'll handle him. If he dares to lay a finger on you or Kong he'll see hell within no time," Arthit smirked.

"Are you a kind of mafia leader or what?" April wiggled her eyebrows as a small smile formed on her lips.

"Well, kind of. You don't know the other side of your dad, baby girl," Arthit pinched April's nose who pouted her lips.

"Yeah, if not for me you wouldn't have been staying here anyway. Thank me for that Mr. Dad," April laughed when she saw Arthit rolling her eyes.

But Arthit had to admit that it was because of April's constant begging that Mia and Jake had allowed him to stay at their house. Not to mention Kongpob trying to understand his parents that it was not Arthit's fault that things happened that way.

One week before, when Arthit had first come into the house he had revealed to Kongpob's parents that it was he who had raped Kongpob and it was him who's April's father. At first, Jake and Mia didn't take it easy.

Jake even punched him on the face when he finished his first line of confession. Mia and Jake started to shout at Arthit and Kongpob and April rushed down to see what was the commotion was all about.

Kongpob did get worried when he saw that Arthit's cheek was getting bruised. He scolded Arthit for not letting him be with him when Arthit was confessing.

April made Mia and Jake relax before Arthit continued the whole story with Kongpob occasionally pressing ice cubes on Arthit's bruised cheek.

Jake and Mia understood that it wasn't Arthit's fault, but they couldn't erase it suddenly and Arthit did respect it. He knows how hard it'll be. Even after Kongpob said that he loves Arthit, it took some time for Kongpob to open up to him.

You can't suddenly forget moments like that in your life.

Arthit had decided to return back to his parents' house which was Chiang Mai itself. But April insisted on Arthit stay there until they decide about future plans.

April knows that there isn't much Arthit could do in his parents' house because she knows that her dad's parents had passed away.

Arthit's parents had passed away in a car crash when Arthit was in his fourth year of college. As the only child of a rich business couple, Arthit was the only heir of all the wealth. Arthit had confessed about it on a day when April was in the hospital with Kongpob.

April doesn't want her dad to feel alone again when they're together now. So she threw a tantrum with her grandparents to make Arthit stay there, but with one condition that Arthit would use the guest room.

But that didn't last long as after two days April started to make plans to make Arthit and Kongpob spend more time getting to know each other. She finally persuaded her grandparents to shift Arthit into Kongpob's room.
