chapter -18

Gabriel's pov

I saw sophia lying on the floor unconscious. My feet immediately moved towards her and I saw her pale reflection. I bent down to her level and started shaking her whispering her name 'sophia wake up ' again and again but she was not waking up. I checked her heart beat and it was totally fine and as I leaned towards her and an  arm slipped around my waist and tumbled me down to the floor with a thud. I am still not aware what just happened up with me. I heard the giggles of Sophia. I rose my eyes to see her face and she was laughing so adorably. So this little minx pranked me. Game on miss Alacantra . ‘ oh what happened Mr Knight does it hurts? Sophia said with a playful voice.
I was staring at her like she is my prey still lying on the ground.she was fidgeting under my stare. Ha! Got you sophia! Don't you dare underestimate me.i can intimidate anyone I want to.
She looks incredibly beautiful with her wet hair sticking to her face. As she takes a step to stand up I pull her with her arm and she fells on my muscular chest. I take a look at her eyes and saw her staring at me with an intense look. My gaze fell on her plump lips and  It was enough to give me a  boner. She started wiggling from her entire position and her soft breasts pressed against my abdomen. Believe me I was cursing this girl in my mind to put me through this painful situation. I took her both wrists in my hand and held it tightly giving her a sign not to move.
‘your belt buckle is poking at my stomach’ she said with her timid voice. I really want to tell her that its not my belt buckle but something that is more hard but I resisted my urge to do so. I let her wrists go of my hands and she stands up again. My gaze never left her face and not to miss her face it totally looked like a tomato.
‘I am going to set the table for you and you can freshen up in the mean time’
With that she ran out of the living room like her life was depended upon it. A chuckle escaped through my lips with the whole situation that just happened a minute ago.
I think I am developing a soft spot for her in my heart. I stand up too and went to my room for Freshening up.
One more problem on my platter right now and that is junior Gabriel is also asking for attention I guess today cold shower would do the work.

I changed into my casuals and approached back to the kitchen where I saw table set up only for one person and sophia was sitting at the stool beside the kitchen counter doing something on her phone. I cleared my throat to gain her her attention.
‘oh you are here!  Wait let me serve you. ’
‘what is the special dish for today? ’I asked with amusement lying in my voice.
‘ well today I was in the mood of something spicy so Indian food that it is for today. ’ she said cheerful voice.
When I take a look at the dishes I am sure I was drooling. It was biryani, chicken curry and what not. After eating we talked a lot. I cleared out my tension just by sharing my work problems. It was good in fact it was great I felt relieved when she listened to me with a great intrest and also shared her own opinion. It was already late and then I walked back to my room for some sleep not before getting wished by her a sweet good night. She was washing the dishes but I was so tired that I can't even help her with the work.
From when I started caring about her. Then I just remember the time when I told her to  do every single chore in this house and I was feeling satisfied and now seeing her alone doing all the work makes me feel sad. In just the couple of days I have changed my opinion about her and that is the good thing that we can bear each other for some couple of months.
But I feel bad for today's incident. It is no good for the both of us. I love Samantha and she loves me but coming of sophia into my life made me doubt about my love towards Samantha and That is definitely not right. I decided not to repeat this kind of incident again. I can't let Samantha's trust to break because of me. I can't let my attraction towards sophia to break my loving relationship with Samantha and also destroying my fragile friendship with sophia as well. We will behave like perfect acquaintance and nothing more. I assured myself that I would not get attached to sophia as there will be a time when we would leave each other and forget each other and live our life perfectly without each other. With these thoughts I slipped into a deep slumber.

I woke up at 5 am and do my usual routine. Spend an hour in gym exercising and took a bath after getting ready.

I reached downstairs at 7am for my breakfast and I was not disappointed. I saw the whole table filled with fruits, juices and eggs and many more stuff but I never catch a glimpse of sophia the whole time when I was eating my breakfast. and as I turned after eating the minx appeared in front of me in her work clothes. Her pencil skirt highlighting her curves.

I turned my face not to look directly in her face. It was weird because a simple things of her can turn me on and I am doing my best to avoid her. I took my car keys and called the driver and I looked at her, she was busy stuffing avocado toast in her mouth. Now it's really weird how  can I get a boner from a girl like her whose eating instincts have no difference when a monkey is eating its food.  I huffed and walked out of my mansion without giving her any glimpse.
